Ok if you want England abroad
When we book a holiday we've always tried to read reviews of it before hand - unfortunately the reviews we read of this place were obviously written by the Brits abroad!
The rooms were straight out of the 70s with awful turquoise padded headboards and noisy air-con (when it was working).
The food was awful - just British greasy spoon cafe fare.
There was building works going on all around the area so laying out in the pool was really uncomfortable with noise and shouting all the time.
Opposite our hotel room was an awful bar which had every single 'stars in their eyes' reject plying their wares - the most appalling was Robbie Williams - which was literally a guy singing his songs! He didn't even try to sound like him! The music went on until about 1:30am - so you couldn't even stay in your room with a few snacks - you had to go out to get away from the noise.
[I'll upload photos and video later]
There were SOME positive points. The staff were REALLY friendly - and they made some awesome cocktails.
We couldn't wait to leave and were so glad that we'd only booked a week's holiday - I can't believe we've just managed to book a villa, all to ourselves, in Portugal for the price a week in this hell-hole cost us!
Unique Quality: None - unless you want Little Britain.

Only for the Brits
The apartment was a bit of a shock at first, we thought we'd stepped back in time to the 1970s. An avacado bathroom suite, radio enabled padded headboard, turquoise sofa and chairs. WOW! However, the apartment was large, well equipped for self-catering and we had fairly comfortable beds.
Unfortunately - the apartment over looked the road - where we had the pleasure of Ranchos (I think) and their 'Stars in Their Eyes' rejects every night. I will upload a video later so you can see how loud it was. It went on till 1am every morning and felt like you had them performing in your room. We were going to ask to change rooms but as we had no other problems we decided to shove ear-plugs in and drown out the noise.
There are a LOT of building works going on around the hotel. We didn't really notice the noise because of our ear-plugs but it was loud when we removed them! Also, there are building works going on over-looking the pool area - which can be a bit disconcerting.
The staff were wonderful although it's a shame in a way that most of the staff are British.
The pool is large enough to house a full hotel. The sunbeds are plentiful and comfortable.
The hotel is geared towards the Brits, entirely. Each morning you could indulge in a full English Breakfast for under £CYP2. And a lot of people seemed to.
Pernera and Protaras were really not our kind of places. We heard that it was a 'lovely' area - how wrong people were.
Lots of neon signs, British pubs, British bars, just Little-Britain.
I'm very glad we only booked a week here - it was pleasant enough and the staff and pool really make up for what else is lacking there. We would not return, nor would we recommend it to our friends, primarily because it wasn't the type of place that we like to stay at!
