Tsokkos Beach Hotel by cheekymarieh A good accomodation guide to the island can be found in the Cyprus Accomodation Guide. It is a very comprehensive site to find somewhere to stay. I have stayed in several hotels and apartments in the Protaras and Paralimni area and I've never had any complaints! In this area most hotels seem to be at least three star and there are many four star properties too. All those that I have stayed in have been extremely clean. If you book accomodation privately in Cyprus it can actually work out more expensive than if booked through a tour operator. It can be quite expensive in the major resorts. When booking accomodation through UK holiday brochures look carefully at the location - some accomodation can be quite a way from the resort centre.
Cypriot properties tend to be very clean (except those used for Club 18-30 and similar holidays which may vary in standards). The staff are usually extremely friendly and helpful and most speak English. Theme: HotelComparison: about averageDirections: Various locations throughout the island. The guide covers all the major resorts and a few more rural areas. The main tourist resorts are: Protaras, Ayia Napa, Larnaca, Limassol, and Paphos. Other resoWebsite: www.cyprus-hotels.com/

We stayed at the Christos apartments in the middle of Ayai Napa less than a minutes walk to the noisy bars on one side or if you went the other way you would come to all the local bars of which there was quite a variety the apartments were clean & quiet except for the idiots in the next room, air conditioning was a must and a local charge was levied, it was quite close to the beach about ten minutes walk and you come to the main shopping area just before the beach, the best is they drive on the left.
We did ask about prices an apartment cost back then £15 a day. Theme: Pension/GuesthouseComparison: less expensive than averageDirections: seeing as the old town of Aiya Napa is a maze of little roads it would be impossible to give an exact location unless I find our original booking form.

by nik997 Whether sunning at the seaside, lazing around the pool, or dinning on the verandas, the sheer spaciousness of the completely air conditioned Dome Hotel and its landscaped lawns lets you lose yourself in relaxing. All of the 205 light and airy guest rooms are comfortably appointed, opening onto private balconies or small gardens, from where you can enjoy a worthwhile view of the sea, the landscaped gardens, the pool or sometimes all three! Each has its own TV, mini-bar, hairdryer, direct dial telephone and climate control for your convenience. by M.E.R.V This resort is absolutely fab, I didn't wanna leave! This palm tree lined hotel is located on the Coral Bay Beach where you can rent your own jetskis, banana boats etc. The rooms were very spacious, clean with a balcony facing a centralised swimming pool. The hotel itself is quite large so you may want to think twice about getting a room at either far end as that would mean a 10 minute walk to the lobby each time Theme: HotelComparison: most expensiveOther Contact: email for enquires: coralsls@cor

by dedeckerm. We stayed at the Imperial Beach Hotel. It has an imposing buffet, large and very clean rooms. People are helpfull and friendly. On the ground floor is a piano bar. Also two beautifull restaurants. One modern and clear furnished, the other restaurant was rather stylish. Outside was a great and good keep in repair swimming pool. You can have your breakfast also near the pool. Accomodation in Cyprus varies greatly but it all depends on what you want to pay. There are five star hotels, self catering villas and apartments, and some hostels. Remember that the island is a major vacation point so there is always plenty of accommodation to suit everybodys budget. But where possibly book ahead. The months of July through to October are the high season so vacancies can be a bit few and far between. August is the worst time to find accomodation as it really is peak season and the locals are also heading off for their time out! Theme: Other
