hi
we are thinking of going to cyprus and was wondering which hotel to stay in any suggestions please
Try www.booking.com which has honest reviews and is entirely reliable.
I haven't stayed in Larnaca, so can't make specific recommendations for hotels. I have stayed in Pafos. If you intend to hire a car you might investigate hotels there too.
Personally didn't like Larnaca much maybe thats because we only saw parts.
Good idea if you hire a car to see the island.
To me Paphos and Protaras are nicer and with a car Cyprus is easliy toured.
Depends what type of holiday you are having
As Leics said all the hotels listed on the link are reputable.
lots of shorts t-shirts swimmers & suntan lotion.
don't forget your sunglasses. flipflops, shorts, swimware. just the usual stuff, toothbrush, soap, toothpaste, flannel etc. in the museums you might be asked not to use a flash.
no problems just be prepared to take loads of photos. the beaches are great.sunbeds &umbrellas are provided on the beaches if you want them (around 1 cypriot pound for the day)Crown resort beach. loads of film or 32 meg memory card or bigger for your digital camera.
The Mosque of Umm Haram sits by the side of the Salt Lake. It was built in 1816 over the tomb of Rumaysa Um Haram, a relative of the Prophet Mohamed. She was born in Medina and is famous for being the first woman nurse. Also buried here is Khadiga Adila grand-daughter of Rashid Basha Sadr Azam, and wife of king Hussein Bin Ali of Higaz, an ancestor of the Jordanian royal family.

.. we arrived during the night.. so we just found out next day.. what we can do and what NOT..
this hotel is perfect.. if you are a 90 year old couple as we call: 'tata' who comes to die quietly to this excellent place..
Im sorry it sounds weird, but the hotel was full of old people, who complained all the time on us, and the staff of the hotel wanted to kick us out.. imagine kicking 80 solid guys who are just having fun, who are not breaking, hurting anything or anybody, but surely would come back to have some holiday.. well, we will never come back here.
... yes, Flo and I was getting really high on some stimulants...
After this little private-party all of us walked down to the sea.. boys were swimming a bit.. then made a little joke with some of us.. they threw us into the sea with our clothes on.. I wasnt drunk any more after this little swimming in my white dress.. some mobiles were made to swim... haha..
Needless to say how much the hotel staff loved me.. when I tried to reach my room to change clothes.. my wet cloth leaving rivers on passages..
