On Larnaca's Beautiful Beach
My vacation to Cyprus was a spur of the moment trip. I had no hotel planned for when I got there and in the airport I asked the tourism office what hotels there are in Larnaca. The Golden Tulip's hotel was very expensive so I ended up going to the Sandy Beach. The hotel setting was okay. They did have entertainment in the lobby every now and then. I wasn't there for too long. I thought that the rooms were pleasant and the facilities were very nice including a pool if memory serves me right. The staff was very friendly in helping me find a place to stay in Nicosia and giving me a map.
Unique Quality: The pool was beautiful yet it was too cold to go in. They do have an indoor pool too which is okay. Along the beach they have a beautiful rock formation that is lovely to go out and just look at the sea from there. The surrounding area seemed a bit dead at the time though.

Do not stay there if you value your safety
Following an incident which affected me whilst I was a guest of the hotel I drew the management's attention to the regular indiscriminate parking in their car park. They agreed the car park was a problem but said it was not their responsibility! It was quite clear that in the event of an incident such as a fire or terrorist attack (bearing in mind the proximity of the Middle East) the emergency services would have no chance of getting adequate access to the hotel. I have advised Thomas Cook Ltd, who booked me into the hotel and they have shown sufficient concern to refer the issues to their Health & Safety Department. The management of the hotel have shown total complacency and one wonders about their concern about safety in the pool or elsewhere in the hotel. If you must visit the locality you should try the neighbouring Golden Bay or Lordos Beach hotels which are better managed, have better facilities and take health & safety issues seriously.

Race to the Sunbeds
We were stranded by a delayed flight, hence our lack of tariffs. The Sandy Beach Hotel is a 4-star hotel, surrounded by lush gardens and exotic palm trees, offering a great view of the Mediterranean Sea.
