We stayed at the beautifull luxury hotel Atlantica Bay, nearby Limassol.
And I must say this was one of the finest hotels I ever vissited.Very friendly people and lot's of fine food and drinks.
Excellent yet again
This is our 4th stay at the Atlantica Bay Hotel. As we wanted a peaceful holiday we were a little concerned about reports of building work, however there was little disturbance.
The hotel was excellent, as usual, food and drink good, but above all the staff could not be more helpful and pleasant.
There were ample sunbeds, excellent service from the pool bar and peace and quiet in a lovely environment which led to a fantastic relaxing holiday.
Not the type of place for holidaymakers who like to be occupied constantly or need lots to do at night, and definitely not for children (part of its charm!) but this unpretentious hotel with professional and friendly staff is the ideal place to refresh and relax.
We will certainly return again for the 5th time.
Loved it and would return

My husband and I have just returned home from a fantastic week at the Atlantica Bay Hotel in Cyprus.
Having read one or two poorer reviews before our trip we were extremely worried about our forthcoming holiday.
Well anyone who has booked this hotel, relax, its lovely.
Wonderful food, large pool, nice beach area and friendly staff.
Our room was very large and clean with a partial sea view.
Many of the guest we spoke to return to this hotel year after year, this says alot.
Enjoy your holiday and relax this Hotel is worth the Thompson Gold 4T's
We have visited the Atlantica Bay Hotel for the last 8 years and have have wonderful holidays. This year the food was even better than previuos years. Many of the "regular" staff had left and so had the Manager and assistant. Building work is substantial with huge building sites on both sides which are at present unfinished. At weekends the local people invade the hotel property especially the beach area and use hotel sun beds, have many children and on one weekend a "ghetto blaster" was playing. In next years Thomson brochure the beach area with bar, restaurant and large grass covered shaded space is not mentioned as it always has been. Does this mean with all the changes taking place this most attractive area will no longer be available?
We booked a two week holiday at the Atlantica Bay Hotel on the last minute and arrived back this morning...neither of us wanting the holiday to end.
We are pretty well travelled, and have stayed in some prestigious 5* hotels and were wary of "downgrading" to a 4T hotel (especially with an all inclusive package) However, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a hotel with excellent food (don't know why some people rated it as poor quality?) catering for all tastes. Staff were ALL friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough to make your holiday special...especially the management/hospitality team. The hotel surroundings are lovely and spotlessly clean. Entertainment is overall good with a very enthustistic host in Rick although some guests can become a little rowdy! Also, if you have a sea view room, expect noise until midnight.
The only downside we found was that some of the little "5* touches" were missing e.g. a daily fight to get a good sunbathing spot and a lounger and the lack of freshly laundered pool towels (you get one each in your room and must ask if you want it changed!)
Overall, we really liked the hotel and had a great, relaxing holiday. We are planning to return in October for some Winter sun.
Beware the noise has started!
My wife and I recently stayed at the Atlantica Bay Hotel (28/6-5/7)and agree the hotel, staff, food etc are very good however be warned if your room is at the hotel rear or east side you WILL hear the noise from the building site(new appartment blocks)which looks like like been ongoing for probably the next year.We stayed for 1 week and every morning apart from sunday we were woken by a JCB working no more than 15 yards from our balcony window from 7 in the morning occasionally earlier.Road rollers and angle grinders could also be heard sometimes until 8 in the evening. When the hotel staff and reps were asked about a room change we were told the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing they could do about the building work.We must have been fortunate in the past as this is the 1st time we have ever felt the need to complain about a holiday but feel the travel company should have informed us of the ongoing building work and any other people who are booked to stay there.I am sure the hotel could get a compromise with the builders on start times as they always stopped work for a break between approx. 8.15 & 9.30am but there again this could have had more to do with their sense of humour as they occassionaly waved as they left their machines. My advice is pack some ear plugs and hopefully you wont be disturbed. We do have the photographs to prove our point but are unable to download them to this site.
My wife and I stayed at The Atlantica Bay for 2 weeks in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. We've been before and found the standards were as good as ever with a few improvements. The dining room has been redecorated and the a la Carte restaurant has been separated from the dining room and had a great improvement in food quality. (The "beef medallions" actually meant two fillet steaks cooked to perfectiion - I like medium rare and that's what came!)
Entertainment was fairly good - some English acts were excellent, others might have been better. Resident entertainment host Rick was a bit OTT. He liked to gather his clique of favourite guests around him and tended to ignore the others, but if you persisted, you could join in and enjoy despite Rick.
We didn't find the next door building work particularly obtrusive, just a bit of background noise, and Rick did his best to drown it out.
We will certainly be returning - probably next Summer.
My partner has stayed at the atlantica bay before and so on her reccommendation we went. The hotel is lovely and wasn't very busy due to it being the start of June. Mostly British people were there who were all very friendly and the weather was very hot.
The food choice is excellent, with chefs cooking fresh omellettes to order and also pancakes along with all the other breakfast items. We stayed half board but you can upgrade once there to full board and you can also buy the drinks package, which is 9.75 cypriat pounds per day and with a house bottle of wine costing about £5.50 it is definately worthwhile if you're in the hotel a lot.
If you're with Thomson Gold and you get the a' la carte voucher make sure you book a night and go. It's in a room off the side of the restaurant, you don't have to pay any extra and you're treated so special and the food is amazingI I can say, that I think a top chef would be impressed with!
The hotel has it's own beach across the road (not very big) and is a few KM's away from the centre of Limassol itself, so either a bus ride or car hire is needed.
There is building work next door going on and our view from the balcony was of lots of rubble as we were on the back but there is no noise to worry about so don't let this put you off at all. Would definately go back for a relaxing holiday.
Go for it.....
We enjoyed our holiday at the classy Atlantica very much. All staff were excellent, they work hard and long to make everyone's stay a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Do do the Cocktail session, the cheese and wine session, join the activities to make friends and have a laugh. Had a whale of a time. We highly recommend it.
