    Modern and smart.

The service at the Atlantica Oasis is most probably the best yet out off all the hotels I have stayed at.

It is a modern well equipped and if your a couple or a family you wont be disapointed. From the adults only bar and pool to the kids disco and club with the kids theme pool also.

The public areas and pools have been renovated in the last few years also the bedrooms in one of the blocks as also been renovated. They are closing the hotel in Dec 08 to March 09 so that they can renovate more bedrooms.

The restaurant is quite large with a very good choice of food. There is a carvery every night plenty of other meat dishes some Cypriot dishs also. The deserts also a good selection plus ice cream my weakness. The food quality is very good so easy to over do it.

The Lounge area is spacious. There is also a cafe, outdoor taverna, pool bar, indoor pool, gym and sauna, ballroom shop ect.

There are different board options we were A/I which you can change to after your arival.

Last the bedrooms are equipped to a standard you would expect from a 4star hotel especialy the renovated rooms.

Unique Quality: This hotel is kept very clean and is in a good position almost in the centre of the tourist area.

Although I rated it only 4 stars if I could I would have rated the hotel 4.5 stars.

    Directions: Potamos Yermasoyias Tourist Area

  • Good location

Ideally located in a very quiet street just off the main coast road in Yermasoya center, the hotel consists of several small buildings covering a lot of grounds. There are several pools, cocktail-bars, terraces, a pizza bar, 2 restaurants, ballroom and entertainment room, shops and a good Kid's Land.
The food was surprisingly good for such a big hotel and they proposed very varied international as well as greek dishes

The rooms are confortable, modern, spacious and most have balconies. Big minus is that rooms are serviced each 2 days only but you can ask towels at the lobby...

You can book the hotel the way you want it, from self-catering to all-inclusive. What I found really good because rare is, that, if you're half-board, you can choose every day whether to have lunch or dinner at the hotel.

You have a 15mins walk to the beach and at about 10mins, you find yourself in Limassol's biggest concentration of restaurants (chineese to libaneese), night-clubs, shops, english pubs and bars.

All in all, a good hotel.

Nice Hotel But Definetely not all Inclusive

by A TripAdvisor Member

We visited this january with my family. A nice 3-4 star hotel but definetely not worth going there All inclusive. The food every day the same with minors changes on the menu and being a chef my self very Poor. But we all Loved going outside cross the Road To The Nags Head Pub For Enterntainment and some Good Food. Down the road 200mtrs is Mc Donalds so the Kids were Happy. The Pool was cold though. Definetely go back but this the next time not all inclusive. Lots of Restaurants on the front Road with 3 course meals for around a Fiver. A Pint of Beer starts from 1 pound. Not Bad at All. So definetely going back in Summer but not all inclusive.

Deal or no Deal?.... no deal

We booked the Pricebreakers West Cyprus thinking we would have a great holiday again, knowing what the other Pricebreakers were like as we have been on several of these deals before through Portland.
The booking we made was for an allocation on arrival hotel (4T) Pricebreaker to one of the following:

 Louis Phaethon Beach 4*, Thompson (4T)
 Iberostar Ledra Beach 4*Thompson (4T)
 Rui Cypria Bay 4* Thompson (4T)
 Atlantica hotel.3* Thompson (4T) Atlantica has a 3*plaque on its entrance.

We have previously stayed at the Louis Phaethon and have friends who have stayed at other Hotels in the Pricebreaker deal. On speaking to our friends on our return to UK the Atlantica quality did not match any of the other three we were very disappointed to say we did not enjoy our stay at all.

We wonder as to the reliability of Thomson rating system, if Thomson were giving a 3*Hotel such as the Atlantica a 4”T” rating to match others in the deal.

The Hotel Reps had difficulty in handling any questions as they had only been in the hotel for a week.
The only time I was taken notice of was when I asked about the trip to the KEO brewery, only because I was misheard and the rep thought I wanted to go to Cairo (this would have made is sales total for the week look good).

Problems we encountered were as follows:

1. The Sauna at Atlantica, you were allowed one visit per stay for 30 minutes.
2. We used the Gym once and caught a vurus, which caused a rash on our arms.
3. The instructions for using the equipment were outdated which if used could cause asphyxia
4. The pool was through the bar in an annex in the Atlantica and was very cold.
5. Free pool towels: This was a hidden “extra” cost at the Atlantica
6. Refrigerator in room was another“extra”
7. The Restaurant was closed between meals at the Atlantica. We had a problem with the time restrictions on eating at night at the Atlantica, we were allocated second sitting which we were expected to adhere to, if we did that we missed the nightly video show.
8. Bathroom accessories e.g. shampoo lotions etc were free at the Phaethon these apart from soap were not available at the Atlantica
9. There was no late entertainment at Atlantica.
10. The three Paphos hotel have beach access (There is no access to the beach from the Atlantica as it is 100 yards across a main road to a pile of rocks)
11. There is not obviously a sea view either
12. The Main Limassol to Larnaca road runs close to the Hotel making it very noisy, at 04:00 on Saturday 4th February it was like a racetrack.
13. There is building work being completed next to the Hotel, which started at 07: 00 daily.
14. In the room where we stayed the Patio door has no lock.
15. The maid service was always after 15:30 making it impossible to rest until after your room was serviced
16. The drinks were very watered down, which in this Country would be illegal

We were very disappointed in this holiday as we have come to expect more from Thomson, and because of the above misalignment between the quality of the Atlantica and the other three hotels we expected to go to.

Good Hotel.

Very good hotel and friendly staff. The location was alright, but no beaches even though the brochures say there are beaches close by, Cyprus is very hard to get around without a car. The town is a short bus ride away, but a 2 hour walk away! But many shops inbetween.
We were disappointed when we found out near to the end of our week that you could get a bus very cheap to many of the other towns, which our Thompson reps did not tell us about. We had already paid to go on day trips, which were very overpriced. Cyprus is not cheap other than alcohol. The day trips were good, but pricey, and we felt we were not given enough time at the interesting places such as The Tombs of the Kings.

The hotel was great though and food was excellent, so much choice, even for vegetarians and the chefs were very friendly.
The pool at the hotel was good, many to choose from but as it was too cold in January we didnt use them, only the indoor pool. There are other amenities and entertainment. The entertainment was good, something on every night, a bit cheesy but still fun!

Never again!

We booked a 1 bedroom apartment all inc at Atlantica hotel but we were taken to Atlantica Gardens 2 streets away. We got a two bedroomed apartment. There was a bar and dining room in the block. The room was spacious and clean. The dining room and bar were closed for the winter. The only real problem was was that the electricity in part of the block went off every evening between 6 and 7pm. The hallways has no emergency lighting and more importantly the hairdryer wouldn't work. After complaining were were told that the problem was caused in Dec when the electricity board dug the road up outside. After two weeks, on the day we left, the electricity board turned up at 7.45am and used pneumatic drills under our balcony to rectify the problem. The electricity was still off when we left at lunchtime. The pool area is attractive and well supplied with sunbeds and brollies. The food was varied and plentiful. The packed lunches are exceptional. The staff in the dining room and at reception are abrupt and unhelpful. The maids and barstaff are excellent. The entertainment was more Maplin than Moulin Rouge and the whole hotel is more Hi-De-Hi than Hilton. Not recommended.

Relaxed and refreshed

This hotel is well run and has pleasant and friendly staff. It is clean and food is good. The location is disappointing but a lot of work is in progress in the area to improve it. There is building work for new apartments going on behind the complex alsoThere is a manmade beach under construction with various water sports on offer. Although at first were felt disapointed, we came home relaxed and refreshed. I would return again but will leave my next visit until the building works are completed.

fantastic hotel would go there every year

weve just got back from two weeks at the atlantica hotel apartments where stayed self catering. my party was aged 70, 42, 39, 34, 29, 15, 13, 7, and a 14 month baby, we had three apartments over looking the pool, i had read some reviews before going some bad some good. but we kept a open mind, but from the moment we got there and were greeted by the porter who offers you a glass of orange juice, and then takes you and your cases to your room we realised any fear we might have had about this hotel went away. the apartment were very spacious with aircon, television, bunk beds lovely large bathroom, and balcony over looking the pool..the hotel was very clean the cleaners clean your room every day except sundays, the swimming pool is lovely and big, but has for the sunbeds if you had not reserved them by 8.00am there was not many left, when you arrive in your hotel information pack this is nothing to do with the company your are flying with its from the hotel you can upgrade to half board, or allinclusive, the price when we were there for the allinclusive was £16.00 adults, and £8 children ( aged 2-12 ) and you had to book a minimum of 4 days, we did not not because it ties you down to the hotel to much and we found you could get a great meal outside the hotel very cheap, but i must the say the food was excellent in the hotel so if you are a big drinker and enjoy your food this would be ideal. what we did have for all the time we was there was the all inclusive drinks and ice creams. we had never seen this before you pay £7 adult £3 child and basicly you drink as much as you like all day on all local beers and spirits, and as many scooped ice cream cornets as you looked around the pool it also includes cocktails this wrist band saved us a fourtune, a family of 4 was charged £20.00 a day which when you think thats 2 round of drinks on the night and you have got your money back, the only thing that was a disapointment to me is that the entertainment on the night was inside which sometime got very warm if they had not got the airconworking the entertainment was good they play cash bingo every night for over £200 a night which we won twice which was great the hotel entertainment staff who my children were with most days and night were outstanding and worked very hard day and night, but it all depends on what taste you have , our tour opperaters was thomsons we go with them most years but there reps never change its the same sell sell sell, there over priced trips, ask them any thing about the resort they dont seem to be intereasted, as for the cats yes you do see a few of them around the hotel but they are very friendly i could not smell any cat wee any where, so for get about that, a lot of reveiws i read mention the nags head outside the hotel. where you can get a nice meal which is right but if you venture out there are loads of places just as good if not better there is a macdonalds, kfc, burgerking within 5 mins walk. one place i would highly recommend we ate they 11 night out of our 14 was called the tosscana if you come out the hotel walk to the bottom of the road to right its a 5 min walk the meals were excellent we had there set menu every night £6.95, and if you are a bit cheeky like me when they ask you to come in the reasturant ask them what they are offering for free my party was of nine they gave us a round of drinks free and the small children eat for free, so dont be affraid to ask because there is plenty of compertision, the one thing about the resort that we had heard off a few people is that the beeches in limassol where not very nice, we found a lovely one in walking distance from the hotel just go down the street turn left cross over the road by mecdonalds walk 100 meters and there is a nice sandy beech with all the water sports there , jet ski banna boat pedloes canoes para gliding, the man who run it was great look at his deals they were the best i seen in limassol, and also there are beds and shades. the local bus which takes you in tothe old and new limassol town was the number 30 it runs 7 days week every 15 mins its 80 cent adults 40 children and you pay this if you go one stop or 30 stops, never went to lady mile beech so i can not comment on that , but overall this was a great holiday for us which we would go back next year no problem, the weather was fantastic in the 30s which was hot for may not that we was complaining, so if you are going there this year dont worry to much because its great,

Karaoke Bar

by alli0422

Can anyone help just back from Limassol at New Year and went to a pub called Happy Jacks a lot.I have some good photos I wanted to send to them but don't know address or email address??
Its run by a guy called Jack and a scottish girl called Angela sings in there, it used to be across fromthe Atlantica Oasis hotel and next to the Nags Head pub if that helps any one. Its now moved onto the main road area about a 10 min walk from Macdonalds.
I have tried to look it up on internet but no luck.
Appreciate any help.

Re: Karaoke Bar

by cyprus4holidays

I do know the bar you mention - we went in a few times in November whilst my parents were out here on a visit. They stay in apartments just behind the new Sigma Bakery near the traffic lights.

I think Happy Jacks is now on the main road and they do still advertise karaoke there.

What sort of info are you looking for?

If you want - you can mail me the photos to my address and I will pass them on for you.... If you want to do this, please contact me by email.
