The old Churchill is a little past its prime and is showing its middle age.
There are newer and nicer hotels in Limassol. However, the Holiday Inn does have some positives. It has a good location. It is on a nice beach area. It has a nice outdoor terrace and the buffet dinner in the evening is quite good.
Also, for CYP 7 ($16) you can pay to use the swimming pool and fitness facilities as well as get a fresh towel and a lounge chair during the day if you are not a guest. The pool has a nice grassy area near the beach. The sand is quite dark, fine, and sticks to you like glue after you come out of the water. It is nice to have a lounge chair on the grass so you can keep yourself and your bags, etc. clean after a dip.
Unique Quality: Rooms can be had by calling the old Churchill direct for about CYP 50.00 ($112.50) including breakfast. However, if you book through the Holiday Inn's central reservation service you may end up paying twice that amount.
Usually, if it is not high season, you will be better negotiating a rate directly with the local management in Limassol. However, do not tell the folks at InterContinental Hotels Group that you heard it from me first.

This hotel, although part of a major chain, has the unique quality of being a place where the staff are extremely eager to please. I have never stayed in a hotel where the requirements of the guest are never too much for the staff.
I can strongly recommend this hotel to any traveller who wants to be in the heart of the town, but yet is only a few metres from a beach.
Unique Quality: The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, a very small fitness room, wonderful restaurant facilities and a fantastic location.
Sitting right on the beach with excellent views across the whole bay of Limassol, this really is a fantastic spot.
The beach is about 60 metres from the patio of the hotel, wonderful well tended gardens and a private beach. What is great is that both the old town and tourist areas are easily accessable. The main motorway is but a short drive from the main entrance which allows any tourist the added benefit of being able to escape the town very easily. Well recommended!

45 Cy Pounds aprox. 90 dollars at the best hotels /per person and prices fall for lower quality accomodations..even 3 star hotels offer extremely good service
Unique Quality: All hotels have outstanding service and facilities and the prices in comparison with the U.K hotels are extremely low

very pleasent. lovely mediteranean views from sea side rooms. gorgeous to fall asleep and wake up to. very nice dining area... inside and out.!!! would not stay anywhere else in Limassol. Only hotel right on the beach, private beach, great pool! Only Hotel in Limassol right on the sea
