Columbia Beachotel

an ideal hotel for a relaxing leisurely holiday

The hotel is situated away from busy towns, highways and tourist attractions, which is his dignity, in my opinion:)
It is far enough from Larnaca airport (midway between Limassol and Paphos), in the picturesque bay of Pissouri and a in a few kilometers from the homonymous village. There are 2 Columbia hotels in the bay (Columbia Beach Resort 5 stars and Columbia Beach Hotel 4 stars). We stayed in the second one.

Our triple room was not very big, but was quite comfortable. Obviously, it was the usual 2-person room, in which just put an extra couch. Air conditioning worked well, in addition the room had a ceiling fan so we always had a choice which way to cool down-:) Also we liked the electrical control panel, you can do it right from your bed - to turn on and off all the lights and ventilation in the room.
The room has an electronic safe and a mini-bar.
There is a normal type of a hair dryer in a drawer, probably it's important for someone, and in the bathroom - normal bath. A good addition to it is a bath cosmetic of Molto Brown.

The entire hotel has a good signal Wi-fi : in the room and at the pool, and even on the beach:) By the way, the hotel staff are very friendly, and if you have a problem with a connecting of laptop to the Internet - they'll certainly help. In addition to Wi-fi there is a regular computer with network access in the lobby .

The territory of the hotel quite small, as well as the neighboring Resort, but clean and well decorated. Resort just drowning in flowers, they must be frequently conducted weddings, there is a beautiful small chapel on their area. The architecture and landscape design, and a good spa - everything in the Resort is dispose to a romantic honeymoon and relaxing.

Pissouri beach is large enough to have a walk , but mostly on the edge of the sea, there is no a large promenade, except a little well-lighted walkway which is only along the territory of Columbia hotels. If you walk to the left part of the beach - you find a pile of huge rocks, where it would seem, the road ends. This is a beautiful place, and while we enjoyed the solitude out there waiting for the sunset, we saw a few people, deftly climbing over a stone ridge and hiding away. I think they were heading towards the so-called "secret beaches", which I'd read about before the trip. All these men were well equipped, in the right shoes and in good shape:) Going back to the hotel, we stumbled into an old van that sells an ice cream and water. By the way, the ice cream was delicious , especially the lemon sorbet.
It is also interesting to walk to the other side of the beach , but we did't reach the end of way, because it was very hot.
Pebble beach is enough clean, no trash, floating in a water (before the flight I had seen such type of reviews).
Entrance to the water is pebble, but not very hard, if it is not a storm. When it began to storm , that's became difficult to entry into the water - the sea began to throw stones, and very painful:) But fortunately we've got only 1 day of storm.
There were sun beds and umbrellas enough, we could find them at any time of day, as well as towels, which are available at the pool.

Would like to say a compliment about food. It was above all our expectations. During the week are organized evenings connected to different type of kitchens. For example, Italian, Mediterranean, and so on. The choice of dishes - excellent, everyone can find something special for himrself: the meat-eaters, and vegetarians, and those who likes sweets - any. I'll add only that the pledge of well-being on vacation is moderation in eating:) Checked !:)))

There is a a little entertainment in the tourist area of ​​the bay , and that's good for relaxing holiday, for those who find peace and calm on vacation. Also there are a cash machine, office rental cars and bicycles, a couple of grocery and souvenir shops and several restaurants. By nightfall, life tales off, quiet music plays only in the restaurants and bars where you can sit at night, listening to the sound of waves and sipping a cocktail.

Now about the area.
There is no public transport. The village of Pissouri in several km and it's not easy to reach there by walk. You should rent a car or
take a taxi. The hotel has its own taxi service, we used it 2 times to travel for short distances.
A trip to Pissouri for a few hours just to walk and dinner. The second one in the evening visited Petra tu Romyu, to meet there the sunset.

Perhaps only one thing slightly marred holiday - 2 times in the bathroom we met a cockroach - it was a bit surprising to see this insect at this level of hotel.
