hotel hilton: á la carte is not carte blanche

The hotel was nice, and it appears to have fabulous pool facilities. However, I was there in February, so I did not use them. I found the hotel a little expensive (CYP88-) for a regular room. This is okay for a business hotel, but for a tourist it is a little pricey.

Never the less, it was fine, however, the in-house movies cost CYP9- each for 3-hours, as opposed to for 24-hours as in most hotels. This means that you are paying $20 per movie and you do not have the luxury to either watch the movie a second time and/or turn it off and on as is convenient. Therefore, I would not recommend this as a cheap source of entertainment while you are staying in Nicosia.

hotel hilton: great breakfast buffet

The price of the room CYP88- includes a large, hot/cold buffet breakfast in pleasant surroundings. I didn't have to beg the waitress for a second glass of fresh squeezed juice, it was offered immediately. My cup of coffee was kept full.

They had a good selection of the regular selection of breakfast foods - continental breakfast, English breakfast, jogurts & fresh fruits, plus a good assortment of meats & cheeses. When the hot entres got cold, they were replaced, so overall the quality of the hot food was kept good.

Although the hotel is a little expensive, having a good hearty brunch goes some way to offsetting the cost as you will not need to stop for lunch later.

hotel hilton: conveniently located

There are two Hilton Hotels in Nicosia. This Hilton Hotel located on Makarios Avenue, and another newer Hilton Park Hotel which is located farther from downtown. The price for a normal room is CYP88- including a large buffet breakfast. This is quite expensive. Hotels in Cyprus usually cost around CYP55- a night. However, it is a nice hotel and the facilities are good. The location is also very practical and it is easy to find if you are arriving by car.
