Paphos ve Larnaca in Winter
by kensmessenger
Hi,
Well my advice as its December would be to find a hotel in Larnaca. Paphos tends to be a holiday destination and Larnaca has all the advantages of a City and is much more fun in the winter. Also you have the BIG ADVANTAGE of not having that long drive to Paphos when you get off the plane after a 5 hour flight and probably a 2/3 hour stay in a uk airport.

Carved altars
by leics
Most people visiting the Tombs of the Kings will only bother with the main tombs, but it's worth exploring some of the smaller ones not mentioned in the guidebook. These, I think, give a better impression of what the site was originally like.
The two Roman altars carved into the side of this tomb (badly damaged by quarrying) are typically Roman in style, and lie above the 'loculi' where bodies would have been placed.
There are other carvings dotted about the site, so it's worth going off the main paths to explore.
Worst place to go...
by paphoshomepage about Evis Pub
Do not be fooled by the inviting exterior or cheesy tunes coming from within. This is not a pub, it is an undercover brothel for the owner 'Evis'. Unfortunately, he has an uncontrollable obsession for hitting on and harrassing his female guests as they attempt to innocently take a trip to the downstairs loo! And believe us, age, race, religion, looks, marital status and all that means absolutely nothing to him! Go to this pub at your own risk. Girls... Stay in pairs where ever possible. Men... Don't let your teenage daughters, wifes and mother in-laws out of your site! Anything...!!
Lovely Garlic Steak and Chicken
by piersend about Palm Grove
The local food here is approx. the same price as the other Restaurants, but here they do some more expensive dishes-the steaks were fantastic (pricey though). They use Scottish beef. Nice place to eat but get here early because the music from Kleos Cocktail Bar next door gets a bit loud later! Garlic Steak.
Garlic Chicken Royale.
