More about Helios Bay Hotel
A gem of a hotel
by TripAdvisor Member barneyCambridge
Date 20th may 2007.
arrived in Cyprus around 9:30 pm, made our way to the helios bay hotel apartments.
we checked in with no problems, the staff on duty that evening was plesant and helpfull, the apartment we had was a studio type, it was clean and well furnished and well maintained, the only thing that was a little off putting was that it was on a land faceing side of the complex, so in the morning i enquired if it was posible to move to a sea faceing apartment, this was no problem and we moved to a new apartment,
The rest of the holiday went realy well with no problems, we even had the pleasure of listening to Lucas who is one of the owners of the hotel play his bazoki on a couple of evenings.
the two weeks that we stayed at the hotel was a lovely time made all the more better by the hotel staff and management being very nice and helpful.
I would recommend this hotell to anyone who was visiting the paphos end of the island.

My wife and I stayed in one of the two bedroomed villas in the small cul-de-sac next to the hotel. The villa was spotless well equipped and very comfortable. The owner and staff were all very helpful and showed that nothing was too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. We would thoroughly recommend Helios Bay to anyone and are looking forward to going back later this year.

We were very impressed with Helios Bay from the first time we arrived. This year will be our 5th visit since our first visit in 2000. The accommodation is set out with a welcoming reception and cocktail bar. If you decide to do your own cooking the self catering facilities are more than adequate and include a full size fridge. For the majority of our meals we used the restaurants close by and the poolside snack bar. Both reasonably priced and the service excellent. The rooms are cleaned and the bed linen changed frequently. We have never experienced any trouble (even when we stayed during two World Cups). Nor did we experienced noisy neighbours at night or day. This is a family run facility with guest satisfaction in mind. The staff are very helpful and friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. I would recommend Helios Bay to anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We can’t wait to go again.

Our Paradise

We have been going to the Helios Bay since 1992 and have never found anywhere else to come close. Our Sons are grown up and now go to the Helios with their partners. We celebrated our Silver Wedding at the Helios in September 2006 aong with 20 members of our family - age range 9 months to 69 years - everybody absolutely loved it - Nicos, Loucas, their family and staff all help to make it a perfect holiday every time. They went out of their way for us to have a party there too. We are going ourselves in July where we know we will meet up with others who go to the Helios often. The barbeque nights are a great laugh (especially when Garry sings) and the food is excellent - we agree that the tuna pittas are to die for. We have stayed in apartments mostly but we had a villa in sept, they have everything you need and all are very clean -but we still love the view from the balcony of apartment 211.
We would recommend the Helios to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday it is our Paradise in the sun

We have been going to Cyprus since 1995, and have stayed at the Helios for the last three years, sometimes even twice a year. They are a family run concern and the nicest friendliest people you could wish to meet.. The Helios is on the beach front with beautiful gardens, a very clean pool and baby pool, and a pool snackbar. We also rented one of the their Villas this year which was just as good, all with easy access to bars, restaurants and bus stops.. Everyone should experience the Helios and the lovely family that own and run it - can't wait to see them all again in June they really are the best!! x

An excellent friendly family hotel, we have stayed here numerous times and every time has been great with friendly staff always willing to help and join in.The owners are two of the best people you could meet and always have time for you,
Brilliant pool and amenities.
lovely food and always cooked fresh.
Could do with a bit more entertainment on a night but the couple of nights they do have entertainment are always well received.
The hotel itself is far enough away from Paphos to be quiet but close enough to be able to enjoy all Paphos and surrounding areas has to offer.
loved so muct don`t want to stay anywhere else

Me and my husband were flying to paphos to get married july 2005, we stayed at Helios where we had the warmest welcome ever! we took our daughter with us who at that time was 18months old, they had the cot and everything ready and waiting on our arrival! The day we got married we got back to our room to find the hotel had left us a bottle of champagne, we were delighted, it was such a nice gesture!
Everyone is so helpfull, friendly and easy to speak to, the bar staff are great, and the club sandwhiches are gorgeous, a must have!!!!
We felt so at ease the whole stay and infact have booked one of their villas for july 2008, we will be taking some of our family with us aswell, so that they can share the same excellent experience of helios as we did!!!
See you july 2008. Loving it!!!

arrived at the hotel to find that they were only expecting 2 of us not 3 ( not their fault ). informed reception that we required bedding for our little girl as there was no linen for the sofa bed. it eventually came 2 days later. the rooms were very clean but very dated. we noticed our pillows had obviously not been changed for some time judging by their near illuminous shade of yellow.the room had not seen a lick of paint since the hotel was built. the only thing to see a a coat of paint was the heavily glossed bath tub which you had to fill up with the shower head due to the change over tap wasn't working. other family members were also staying in the hotel and their room was much better.they were staying in the appartments under the pool and was very modern compared to ours. i would suggest you stay in them rather than the main hotel appartments.the pool and surrounding areas were very clean and child friendly.all i all the position of hotel was good very quiet and paphos was very accessible via a short public bus journey away.if you are looking for hotel for a cheap holiday then go for it but i will not be returning.
Our favourite place

We were a party of 6 who stayed at the Helios the last 2 weeks in April. What a wonderful experience. All the staff espcially Nicos could not have been more helpful and in truth truly made our holiday. The apartments are spacious and extremely clean with an excellent housekeeping service. The grounds of the hotel are second to none and the pool side one of the cleanest we have ever come across. We have been holidaying in Cyprus for the last 15 years and can honestly say this is the best place we have stayed at, so much so we have already booked our return trip.

Hi,
I would take one of those plug in adaptors to stop mossies coming into your room at night also you can buy wipes from boots chemist also to protect you.
I always wear jeans or trousers at night stops them from biting your legs.
The electric plugs in Cyprus are the same as the UK.
