Do not stay here if you want a stress free holiday
Myself and my partner booked to stay at this hotel the previous April and over the course our 2 week stay we were to be joined by 64 guests for our wedding, all of which had booked to stay in the Cypria Bay with us.
Little did we expect that such a simple request as staying in the actual hotel you have booked and paid for was by no means a certainty. Of the 64 guests they tried to put over half in the sister hotel next door as they said they had double booked a number of rooms.
When we complained about this we were greeted with utter contempt from the reception staff who basically told us we had got what we paid for and could not see a problem.
A number of that managed to stay in the right hotel did not get the sea view rooms they had paid extra for.
Eventually 18 of our guests agreed to stay next door and we then focused on having a relaxing time with our friends and family only for matters to get worse.
On the first night we attended the restaurant in trousers only to see approxiamately have the male's in shorts. As the restuanrant is very hot with little or no air conditioning we decided to wear our tailored shorts from now on and for 9 days in a row we we greeted at the entrance to the restaurant by the manager and exchanged pleasentries each evening as we entered such as 'good evening'etc. On the 10th day of our holiday the same happened as described above but when we went to get a starter we were asked by the manager (the same man who has greeted us each night) to leave the restaurant. When we asked why, he pointed at our shorts. We explained that we had done see previously and he never mentioned anything and we have already started our meal. He then threatened to call the police infront of a full restuarant to have us removed! Thius despite approx half of the males in the room also wearing shorts!
In summary the Cypria Bay is clean, pictureresque with decent facilities. The only apesct letting it down badly is the organisation and management which unfortuantely for the paying guests in non-existent.
