BIG LOVE 9.30PM

by TripAdvisor Member cornishgoodies

Really enjoyed our week away at the ledra beach. Everyone worked really hard to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms and all areas were very clean and the food was excellent. A well deserved 4* rating. The animation team were fun and tried their very best to involve as many people as possible. Dino especially, big love 9.30. Its not often you go on holiday and have no complaints...The ledra was an excellent hotel....Happy holidays...

Good food, drinks, company and atmosphere

If you want to go on Holiday to have a great time to relax enjoy yourself then this is the place.
Granted when you the read the reveiws people are saying that this Hotel sholud be a 4* Rating, i would say going on Hotels i have stayed at in the past all 4 or 5* this Hotel doesnt reach that standard, not far behind though. Dont let this point put you off.
There are smoking and non smoking areas in the Hotel, the resturant is completly non smoking, the bar area is smoking and there is a lounge area that is non, the entertainment room is half and half.
The staff are excellent they made the Holiday for us, the entertainers all very nice people Dali, Deano,Tony,Will and Peter, will try to get you involved in lots of activities, if you dont want to get involved then just say no, if you join in you will have lots of fun though, I shot a snail whilst trying archery, missed the board completly, had a great time trying though.
Outside Pool was freezing, inside pool was just right.
Food was, well, just amaxing. From the minute you wake up to minute you go to bed there is food to be found and all very tasty.
I did read a few reviews which mentioned 'the type of person this sort of Hotel attracts' All the people we got to know were lovely anyway for the price this Hotel costs to stay at your not gonna get people who would normally stay at the The Ritz, so wake up!! or better still go stay down the road at Alex the Great or the Amethus.
Seriously stay at this Hotel if you want to have a nice relaxing Holiday with great poeple around you, because when we were there we had a fantastic time, but dont expect a 4* Hotel its more 3* plus, but what would i know im one of those type of people.
sorry for any spelling mistakes or errors Im doing this at work, and i dont have time to check it.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.
I would just like to say Hello and thankyou to anyone who reads this who we met on Holiday, because we had a great time, and stay in contact. Lloyd and Lisa

well what can i say if it wasnt for the animation crew i think i would have had a rubbish holiday!!! Being 21 and going during feb wasnt the best as the hotel was full of over 50's not that i have anything against old people as they were all lovely to me and my friend but it would have been better having more younger people there.

the entertainment during the day was good but at night it really livened up in the hotel with bingo and a show each night. DALI was hilarious doing the bingo and in the shows and the other animation crew WILL, 'DINO', TONY and HOLLY were Fab aswell!!!.....really funny and friendly...he he! and i cant get the club dance song undercover lover out of my head!!!!!!!

the food was average there was a lot of choice but if ur a fussy eater, which i am, then u might not want to opt for the all inclusive.

there are loads of swimming pools but the outdoor ones are freezing!!

we were greeted with a smile on arrival and our luggage was taken to our rooms and we were offered a glass of orange juice which was really good.

our rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard and they gave us new towels daily which were left on the bed in the shape of swans!!! prettyness!!

Our rep, Andy, was also great helping out whenever he could and he even offered to go out of his way to take us on a trip we missed!

Excellent!

We went as a large family - 2 adults and 5 kids aged 15 to 3! We had an excellent holiday, the entertainment team were amazing, the food was fab the resort was lovely. Definately would go back!

Pathos pre-Christmas break

by jbassett

"Pathos"

I decided to take a short (one week) trip to Pathos, Cyprus, with my parents as a break before Christmas. We stayed in the Iberostar Ledra Beach hotel on a fully inclusive basis. The hotel was a little run down in places but the food, drink and service were excellent. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again.
It is a shame that the island is split in two as I would have liked to explore the Northern part, but it was too much trouble for a oen week stay

"Sunsets"

The sunsets in Cyprus are really great as there is rarely any cloud covering the island. However, they don't last long as the sun rapidly dips below the horizon.

"The Trudos Mountains"

I don't think a visit to Cyprus would be complete without a trip into the Troodos mountains. We hired a car and took a trip as far up Mount Olympus as we could, which is 1952m (6404 ft) above sea level. The views are superb, where you can see through the extensive forest. We also visited the Kykkos Monastary and their amazing collection of religious articles, which I found interesting despite not being particularly religious.

Anyone stayed in Ledra Beach Hotel ? (IBEROSTAR)

by Standeman

Re: Anyone stayed in Ledra Beach Hotel ? (IBEROSTAR)

Hello.
My wife and I got married in Paphos in June. Some of my family stayed at the Ledra Beach hotel. We moved them there at the last minute because they were booked at another hotel and there was a major building site right next to the old place.

As far as the Ledra goes, the beach and swiming pool area was nice for Paphos. The buffet for half board was basic, not as good as ours but we were at the Coral Bay and that is 5 star.

The thing to avoid is the non sea view rooms at the Ledra. these rooms, especially on floor 1 actually face either concrete walls or other hotel rooms. not so good if you want to spend an afternoon on your own terrace or patio, recovering from sunburn or hang over or whatever.

Other than that, service was quite acceptable.

Also, you are a bit of a walk from the Paphos tourist areas, but you can also take a bus or a cab for $3.

Take a look at our site and external homepage for some more insights.

Feel free to email with questions about Paphos if you like too..

Safe Travels....

BUilding work near Imperial

by leeann79

We had our wedding in Cyprus last June. Part of our family was booked into the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel. We were advised by our travel agents about a month before our trip that they were building next door, "but it was cosmetic". When we got there, it was a major construction site with netting hanging off the Louis to protect the guests from the major building works.

We did end up moving our guests, though it took quite a bit of ***ing at our agents who then ***ed at the tour operators.

Shame, our guests ended up at the Ledra Beach hotel and the service was not nearly as good. If it were not for the building works next door, it would have been an amazing hotel.

You can call the front desk and ask what is going on. Here is the number: 00357 26965415

Other than that, I would reccomend the Coral Beach hotel up in coral bay. My wife and I stayed there on half board and it was the most amazing food and service I have ever had in the Med. Not too many children, but not devoid of them either. Coral Bay is a few minutes walk, and there is lots of good food and nightlife there as well. No real nightlife in Coral Bay Resort.

I hope that helps, check out our Paphos pages for more information or drop us an email.

Jennifer and David.
