More about Ledra Beach
Ledra Beach
by TripAdvisor Member bongy40
I spent a week in November at the Ledra Beach and had an absolutely fantastic time. This was my first time holidaying in a hotel (usually go self catering with hubbie and the kids, but this was a week just me and Mum). I can't say I was blown away by the accomodation, but it was clean, comfortable and perfectly acceptable. (An improvement on the self catering accomodation I was used to).
What I can say though is that the whole holiday was a blast from start to finish. This was due to many things. No housework, no cooking, no cleaning, no acting as pacifier between the kids and just having some quality fun time with my mum. Though I say it myself, I'm a good cook and I appreciate good food. The food at the hotel was just fantastic, a huge variety of cooked food, salads, roasted meats at the carvery, and always piping hot - obviously not the salads!!
We stayed all inclusive, I was amazed that we didn't have to queue for dinks but had regular waiter service. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The entertainment wasn't really my thing but was very popular with most people. The lads worked so hard, always about during the day encouraging you to join in with activities but never forcing you.
My fellow holiday guests were all charming and I cannot get over just how friendly everyone was.
I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel. It was exceptional value, had a fantstic atmosphere and I defy you not to put on at least 4lbs per week - just make sure you take elasticated waists.

Great Hotel

Stayed in the Ledra in September, had a great time, staff were very friendly and the rooms were basic but clean. Paphos is beautiful! We were a bit worried after reading some of the reviews here, but had a fabulous time.
iberostar heaven! just to good to be true! Bingooo Tiime!!!69

BINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! i have to say that the entertainment crew was amazing they consisted of deli (flexi lexi and sexy) will (whatever) tony (slim shady on drugs) danny and holy!! they kept us all entertained through out the week and we will NEVER forget them. i would like to buy them all and have them perform in the garden! lol they was that good!!!
Food was amazing, nearly burst eating so much, the best night was cypriot night the kleftiko was to die for! all other nights you had a wide variety of food to choose from very very good.
The hotel was well worth its 4 star rating, was very clean and tidy. Rooms were very spacious and beds were changed EVERY day which was good.
as we stayed in february the weather was not very good but the annimation crew kept us entertained at all times bingo was spiced up by deli making us all laugh and the nighly shows were very funny to.
the only problem i have to complain about throughout my entire stay at the hotel was when 3 birmingham supporters in there mid 50's started getting a bit stroopy when the mighty west ham united beat them 3-0 ha ha what ever mingers losers!
4 star hotel with 5 star entertainment!
LUCKY NUMBER 69 HAVE A GOOD TIME!!!!!!!!!!
Great Hotel for Single Travellers
by TripAdvisor Member Janeyhen
As a single female traveller the hotel made sure that I was comfortable from the minute that I arrived. Including a bottle of wine and fruit in my room.
The bar area was spotless and the service faultless, as soon as you were at the bottom of your glass it was topped up by extremely helpful and cheerful staff.
The food in the main restaurant was excellent with a good choice, even on days when the hotel was close to capacity there was plenty of choice with the buffet food being replenished frequently. Again, the restaurant staff went out of their way to make me comfortable.
The all inclusive deal was excellent value for money, with the same food and drink that was available for paying guests. This also noting that no supplement for single occupancy were charged, so a real bargain.
The animation team worked really hard and even on the days when the weather was not the best, they got people involved in indoor activities, with the Blingo in the evening being very popular. They also knew when to let you relax and were therefore not "In your face" in comparison to other places that I have stayed.
To summarise, the Hotel was friendly, clean and safe and I would certainly recommend this to other travellers.

There are some reviews of the hotel on www.tripadvisor.com
I think it looks good in the Thomson brochure.
Don't be nervous! Cyprus is a lovely place and the people are very kind. We are going back in April.
With best wishes

Hi.
The Ledra beach hotel is on the main road going into Paphos about 25 mins walk into Paphos on Poseidonos Ave. This hotel is owned buy Louis hotels and managed by Iberostar Hotels. I think this will be a good quality hotel like most hotels in Cyprus. I have stay at the Phaethon Beach Hotel just down the road owned by Louis Hotels. have a look at www.louishotel.com

My wife and I are having our vows renewed at the Chapel on the 25 May at 1600hrs, its our 25th Wedding anniversary this year. It is a lovely little place and you will not be disappointed, you have made a good choice. The inside is painted with religious scenes and stain glass windows, bright and colourful but very intimate. All the very best to you and enjoy the day

has anybody stayed at the "ledra beach hotel". We usually go to the Canaries and this is our first visit to Cyprus. Have we made a good choice?

Hi,
I have not stayed at the Ledra Beach but it is in a good location and not to far from the centre of Paphos and over looks a beach . Most hotels in Cyprus are off a good standard so I dont feel you will be diapointed by your choice.

Mayfair Hotel in Paphos

Hi VT Members
I won an award at work today for Employee of the Year for Thomson (A.K.A Lunn Poly) TravelAgent.
Along with my bottle of champagne ive got a free stay at the Mayfair Hotel in Paphos, please can someone tell me whether this hotel is any good, it looks fabulous for a 3 star & would also like to know how far it is from the beach & also the airport.
Thanks in advance

Hi Stacey,
You lucky one. I dont think you will be disapointed with the Mayfair Hotel. This is one of the more popular ones and most Hotels and appartments are off a good standard in Cyprus. Paphos is a pleasant resort with a lot to offer and is spread out over a large area.

I know this isnt an answer to your question that you posted, but i was wondering that as a thomson employee, weather you could find out about some building works being carried out opposite the ledra beach hotel. Im getting married in cypress in a few weeks time and i dont want it spoilt by a noisy, dusty eyesore. Any advice from yourself would be great!

its a long way from the beach in a residential area, but hte taxis are cheap and if unlike me you are fit and healthy the walk wont kill you (the heat might though)there are lots of little back streets you can cut down and its about 15 minuted to bar street. Have a good one
