Does anyone know of a nice restaurant in Paphos where we could have a meal/reception for my sons wedding in September.
Thanks
We (mum/dad/child13) stayed in a self catering 'apartment' in the 'Louis King Jason' over Christmas - they have a nice 'open' deck patio, adjacent the dining room, which would make a suitable venue for your meal and then indoors for the reception afterwards
This is not an expensive hotel (as hotels in Cyprus go) but we were more than satisfied with the facilities and if you research this on the web you will read many positive comments
The hotel is located in a residential area about three/four minutes by car from the harbour - so there are no noisy 'tavernas' near by that would intrude on your reception
The apartment was a good size - which I am sure the bride will appreciate when getting ready and the small kitchen fridge can keep the champagne cold ..
Google the Louis Hotel Group and see the facilities on line then, if you like it. contact the hotel to see if they can accommodate your party
Book a room there for late April (I used HolidaysDirect) and make an inspection before you make wedding booking - just to be sure my suggestion meets with your expectations
For the cake : come out the hotel, turn left to end of street, turn right and walk along about 300 meters you will see a large bakery on your left, we bought our fresh bread and some supplies there, most days..
Good Luck
There are a lot of lovely restaurants in Paphos and there are quite a few that specialise in receptions like Zaffron which is on Tomb of The Kings Road.
Check out paphos-eating.com as there are lots of reviews from diners here.
Be very very careful when some restaurants write to you saying they have a sea view as many do, from the top corner of their roof!
I hope you have a wonderful wedding, I got married in Paphos Town hall almost 7 years ago now. Loved the place so much we moved here 6 months later! If you need any advice on any restaurants, let me know as I'd be happy to tell you where they are and if there are really as good as they say they are!

The Paphos Go Karting center is great fun,it offers a 1600 metre track where you can either have bambino karts, cadet karts, pro karts, super Karts, twin engine or thunder karts. It has a bridge and tunnel track. There is even a childrens track, also there is a cafe, restroom, snack bar and crazy golf for all the family.
Saranda Colones Castlewas a building, that was at least partly surrounded by a moat filled with water. There are 2 impressive arches left over and you can also still see the only bridge that was leading to the water-castle in Roman times.
The Saranda Colones Castle is at the end of the tour through the excarvation-area, You will need at least 2-3 hours in order to see all of the best exhibits and mosaiques there, that are spread all over quite a wide area.
The restaurant benefits from the coolness of the trees that surround it and the great sea - view that lie beneath adn the breath taking sunsets. Cyprus Meze
Apart from the Greek and Cypriot choices you have on the menu you can also enjoy a variety of European dishes
I know it's a bit heathen-but some good old English Style Fish 'n' Chips take some beating! The quality of it here was excellent, it has to be imported (Cod and Haddock), the batter is lovely and light and it was really busy with Holidaymakers and many Brit ex-pats. The portions were generous and the prices very reasonable, even the mushy peas were great! They do a delivery service too. Breakfast was £1.90 and very good too! Very friendly service. Cod and Chips.
