The serving staff is very competent and extremly nice, they all share service so two to five people will help you as the night progresses. Because of this, you can flag anyone at anytime and they will sort you out. They will never say "let me get your waiter".
The drinks are well mixed and the seats are comfortable. There are a lot of leather couch sitting areas in the lounge, and if you keep an eye out you might just get one. The locals know this and mostly beat the tourists to the prime seats.
They do serve food, but it is not remarkable. If you want a meal, go to a restaurant. This is a proper drinking, socialising good vibe lounge. And all this without bieng pretentious.
This is where you will try a local drink such as Zavania or Commandria. They serve the good stuff as bar stock and not the crap sold to tourists at the waterfront. A proper example of the local drinks. ....There is no dress code for this place. But realistically, leave the jeans and cut off t-shirt for the local watering hole.
This is a place where people do get a bit dressed up for a drink. It is where good friends go out to meet and talk. Maybe stay for the night, maybe move on to a club. It is a relaxed, semi-upscale atmosphere and yet it is still fun.
