Internet Cafe

2005 The cafe I reported on last year has moved to just off the main square (see picture). Friendly helpful owners. Good selection of drinks and the home made cakes seem very popular.
At the current time (2004) there is only one location to get on-line in Polis. A local computer shop which was just setting up in August. Very friendly. Easy to find (Polis isn't a big place) and keeps your kids happy once they start to miss the old games.
Polis - Gateway to Akamas Peninsula

"Scuba Diving - Polis Dive Centre"
I stumbled across the Polis Dive Centre, which is in the pedestrian area of Polis Town Centre, and met Mark and Diane, who are British ex-pats and a charming couple.
They were in no way pushy, and showed me around their premises (which is well equipped) and I arranged to do some diving.
Having only dived once before they were very safety conscious, and I had a great time, with a very easy going day out, superb drive to dive sites along the peninsular were value for money alone.
Have now seen from their website that they have an 8 metre catamaran - www.polisdiving.com
"Stroll around Polis"
Polis is a sleepy town, set about 0.5km from the coast - pleasant walk to beach where there is a campsite - with a range of shops and cafes etc. It has one of Cyprus' oldest olive trees by the side of the road. You can get a bus here from Polis, or even hitch it!
