JLV ho(s)tel: Renovated accomodation

This hotel was owned by the Czech Railways company for many years.
Now it is run by the Dining and Sleeping cars co. (JLV) When I go to the capital of my country for more than an all-day trip, I book my stay and sleep just here, although it is about 19-minute tram run from the National museum but situated in quiet part of Prague. The complex was renovated between 2007-2009 and is more comfortable than before. It has hotel and hostel part.

The rooms in hotel part are 1- and 2-bed rooms with shared bathroom.

Room in hostel costs 390.00 Kc or one bed 290.00 Kc

One bed in a single room or two-bed room for single use in hotel part costs 350.00 Kc. Room for two people 450.00 Kc in total.
Suite (2×2) - 900.00 Kc
Apartment 600.00 Kc, bed 450.00 Kc

All prices are for the stay up to 30 days.

Laundry: 40.00 Kc for 90 minutes and then each started 60 minutes for 30.00 Kc

If you come by car you can leave your car at hotel parking for 90.00 Kc per day.

I and my family, my wife Eser Saral and younger son Emre Saral stayed in this 24 floor hotel in a 3 bed room during May 16th and 18th 3 nights in the 22nd floor. I can say I was not satisfied with this 4 star hotel. The TV was old fashioned. we changed the electrocard to open the door 3 times. Bathingbowl was too deep that one can hardly get out. I tried to get up in vain but it was impossible. Every time I tried to get up my feet slipped. At last I called my wife to help me to get up. So an unpossible sitiation had I nowhere in my life. I registrated my stay 30 days before my arrival. When we arrived the hotel the girls at the recption couldnt find my registration but they were very kind to give me a room for that night. It took 2 days to find my regitration. The looby was very large. But there was no attration. For that reason it was always empty. The breakfast saloon was very small for a 416 toom hotel. There was always confusion and disorder.
I rate the hotel 2 1/2 stars.

The hotel is outside the city. One can reach the city with metro which is 260 meters away. The metro station is Pankrac. To go there one must walk along an emty and dark park like area. Thanks Allah we had no trouble in the late night but in the near future some pic-pocketers or some criminals will be there to robe the people.

Albert Pension: prague's worst hostel

i ve been here before 1 week on august 2007. This is the most miserable place i ve ever been. REALLY. The room was underground, totally different from the fotos in the sites, it had a very bad smell of humidity that cant let u even sleep, the towels was small, very old and filthy and of course,there is NO cleaning service! They didnt clean our room even once. the beds are in fact not beds they are old boxes, broken and uncomfortable. Also, it is far from the the center (and it is not only 10 mins from Narodni Trida as they may will say to you). And finally when we arrive at the hotel they demand the whole sum of money to be paid immediatelly. they were very rude and they spoke very bad english. cheaters...Please, dont be fooled and dont go to live in this miserable "hostel". for your own good.

Do not stay at this hotel. My gaughter was robbed at this hotel by the staff. They knew that she was leaving early, and was not able to do anything about it.

Hotel Caesar Palace: Nice hotel at Nove Mesto

Quite new hotel at Myslikova street near Karlovo namesti. Me and my wife was here during our honeymoon, and liked a lot. Our room was very clean with great vievs over rooftops.
Maybe not a cheapest hotel in Praha but very nice and location is good too. There is good restaurants near this hotel, like U Bubenicku, traditional czech restaurant with great atmosphere, U Fleku brewery, bar/nightclub Solidni Nejistota and many others. Vltava rivercruise docks are only few blocks from here.

Grrreat breakfast!!

Hotel Cerný Slon: Perfect, central, small, safe, ok price!

The perfect place for a visit to Praha. very central location, walking distance everywhere - well, nearly.
Old house, like nearly everything in town, so not good for physically impaired.

Fairly simple but roomy rooms for 2, but they also have singles, probably in the 3-star range. Family owned and run. Breakfast restaurant, reception bar, downstairs cellar bar and restaurant.

I found them on the internet. They offer apartments of various sizes. Lovely clean place situated in Praha 2 right next to the tram line and only four stops away from the Old town area.
Rooms: You can choose from double and triple rooms, each with its own bathroom and a small kitchenette. The pension also offers double to 5-bed apartments with 2 bedrooms, a private bathroom and kitchenette. The bathrooms have either a bathtub or shower corner. There are two types of rooms - standart and economy rooms. The economy rooms are in the same level as the sidewalk just with the small window on the top of the wall. There is also private bathroom.
Services: Reception is open from 8:00 - 24:00. The reception offers some kind of tours and transfers.
