cheap accommodation in prague

by priti.ro

Hello

I was wondering if you could give me a hand in finding accommodation at a hotel/hostel that has capacity to guest 56 people, for one night, in December, after Christmas. I was thinking about a price around 20-25 euro/person/night.

Any suggestions will be very helpful.

Thank you

Travel Tips for Prague

The Castle

by hundertmorgen

Here you see a night view on Prague Castle. At daytime robust sightseers will hike the steep path along Nerudova Street to Prague Castle; the less hardy will take the tram at Malostranska Square. All will marvel at an area dense with architectural masterpieces, including the castle, St. Vitus’ Cathedral, and St. George’s Basilica. Despite international crowds, visitors have the strong sense that they’ve stepped through a time warp as they’re dazzled by gargoyled facades, spectacular stained-glass windows, and musty tombs.

This otherworldly feeling continues behind the basilica to Golden Lane, a walk into the pages of a Gothic fairy tale—where timbered cottages are filled with Czech folk art, antiques, crystal and glass, and books. Even here, Kafka’s ghost haunts. Tour guides point out the cottage where he lived briefly. Today, a small bookstore on the premises pushes Kafka-related merchandise.

Classical Music Concerts

by Deus_ultima

Listen to a Classical music concert! All around town you'll be asked to attend different cultural events. One of them is classical music. Even thought you will be ask HUNDREDS of times, a polite no thank you will send them away..they are really nice..just doing their job ANYWAYS!! Here in Quebec, quality classical music concerts are VERY expensive, so why not indulge yourself here! For a small fee, you can attend about any composer, just walk around and find the ones offering the concert your interested in. :) Listening to a Vivaldi concert in a church.( The 4 seasons is the first piece I remember hearing as a kid)

winter warmer, hat and coat and hot mulled wine.

Make sure you take comfortable shoes for walking, as lots of hilly areas around the castle.
A really warm hat is a must in winter unless you want to get a head cold and a warm coat or jacket.

No time...

A crowd wait every hour for the show: The skeleton, representing the Death gives a pull on the rope that hi hold in his right hand, and in his left hand the hourglass is inverted. Then two windows open and the Apostles move round.
There are other figures: The vanity looking himself in the mirror, A Jewish moneylender: greed, The turk: lust.
The astronomical clock had the purpose was to imitate the supposed orbits of the sun and moon about the earth.
The clock shows the movement of the sun and moon through the zodiacal signs.

Kostel Svateho vojtecha

by globetrott

This small monastery in the street " Vojtesska " is not far from the famous
Tourist-trap " U Fleku ".
There will be no guided tours, but a door will be open, on the back, and you may have a look into the great interior through an iron-fence.
