One of the best in Prague

We arrived late in the Evening, we just wanted to throw our things in the room and get to the square ASAP, the staff were helpful and spoke very good English, the Hotel is very clean and the rooms are kitted out very well, TV walk in shower, tea/coffee making, mini bar. The Hotel is only 5 mins walk from the Square, yes I know people say 5 mins and mean longer, but it is, out of the front door, turn to your left then left onto the street, 50yds past the Kafka statue, then to the right of the facing cafe, when you see Mama Lucy infront of you turn to the right and there you are.

Breakfast was very good and the guy that seems to do so many things in this Hotel Chris, is rushing around making sure everyone has all they need and believe me he does rush, he also tends bar and as he used to run Stag groups around prague, he knows all the best and cheapest watering holes, he can advice you on public transport, infact he's an all round stand up guy.

There is a room with many books on Prague and a TV and also a PC with Internet access.

Unique Quality: The Hotel is 100 years old and retains the charm and features whilst stilll having all the mod cons, its in a superb location and we couldnt fault it.

Best location at a reasonable price

I stayed there on a business visit, 3 nights, mid week.
Computer network available at the room.

Unique Quality: Its a very good hotel, but not for summer - no A/C.
Otherwise, nice rooms, nice service, and boufet breakfast.
I saw a large and well equipped room for disabled people.

More about Bellagio Hotel

A stylish and welcoming hotel...

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed at the Bellagio for a night last week and were impressed! The decor was very stylish, and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The building has been restored to very high standards, and was extremely clean. I'd reccomend this hotel as a good base to explore Prague from, as all the main sights are within walking distance. Just wish I'd had some more time to do so, but I will be back!

Lovely hotel in a great location within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Would recommend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again. Check out the leaners!

Ideally located and comfy too!

On the advice of a friend we cancelled our original choice of hotel and went for the Bellagio, and what a debt I owe my friend. The Hotel is ideally situated for the Old Town and Jewish Quarter yet just off the beaten track to be quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only disappointment was the buffet style breakfast, which for the '4' star rating was poor, but will certainly stay there again.

Well done Bellagio!

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful hotel for a weekend in September. It was a truly great experience beginning with the friendly reception staff right through to checkout. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Also the breakfast was excellent. A very classy hotel in a spectacular city. We loved it all. The best!

Ideal base for Prague

by A TripAdvisor Member

Very stlyish small hotel which proved an ideal base for a recent three day trip to Prague. Easily within walking distance of al the major attractions but set in a quiet street in the old jewish quarter.
The staff were very professional, friendly and polite and the rooms were spotless and decorated to a high standard.
Didn't use the restaurant for a main meal, but the buffet breakfast was excellent.

Our best tip in Prague

by A TripAdvisor Member

We discovered by chance this brand new, charming, Italian style hotel, strolling in the most secret part of the Old Town, called Josefov. The crowdy Prague Ghetto is across the street. Attractive from outside, with its old rose facade, the charm goes on when entering the smart, cozy lobby flanked with an elegant, intimate bar. We found the bedrooms bright and lovely: each was different in shape, style and decoration from another. We used the ADSL internet connection in our room, and were not charged for it when checking out: free of charge! The air-conditioned 5th floor, where we stayed, was particularly attractive: wood beamed, it displayed our handsome suite, plus some smaller, though highly romantic rooms with private balcony. We had our dinner in their much affordable Ristorante Isabella, managed by Swedish Chef Lars Sjöstrand: one of the most celebrated culinary artists in Central Europe. The rich buffet breakfast –included in the room rate- was served in its pleasant premise. The friendly and efficient staff was anticipating, and provided us with a real family atmosphere. Last but not least, we found the Bellagio good value for money compared with many hotels in this reputedly pricey tourist district. An exquisite place where we shall definitely come back when we visit the beautiful Prague again.

Great value Bellagio

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed at the Bellagio for 5 nights in December and found it to be excellent value. The hotel is warm and welcoming and the staff are English speaking and very helpful. The room we were allocated was bigger than most we have had in more expensive hotels. The only criticism I have is the lack of drawer space in our room, but for a short stay this should not be an issue. The hotel serves an acceptable fried as well as continental breakfast in the basement restaurant. Ideally located in the Jewish Quarter, just 5 minutes walk from the Old Town Square and very close to many bars and restaurants, the Bellagio is somewhere I would definately stay again and recommend to anybody visiting Prague.
