I would recommend this hotel because the rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and it is within walking distance to many things to see and do in Prague.
It also has its own parking area, which is a rare thing in this city.
Hotel is in great position minutes from the Old Town Square and Astronomical Clock. The hotel is situated across the road from the Bethlehem Chapel and dates back to the 13th century.
Our room was on the top floor a small quaint attic room. Although comfortable for me being a shortie my partner had trouble!! He continually knocked his head on the rafters, and having a pee was almost impossible for him!! (6ft 4). So if tall ask for a normal room.
The service was helpful, rooms clean and quaint. Lift was tiny but to be expected in an old building. Breakfast was adequate in cozy restaurant.
Overall the hotel was beaut for its position and we enjoyed our stay here as Prague really is an Architectural wonderland, Gothic, Renaissance,Medieval and classical buildings hugging each other like a time wrap.
Although very close to the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge, the hotel was in the midst of some very noisy construction (recobbling the streets) and was the hardest bed that I have ever slept on in my life. Breakfast was so-so at best.
I stayed here for a couple of nights. It a very good location. Its opposite the Bethlehem Chapel, associated with Jan Hus, a Czech nationalist hero and religious leader. Its a quiet area with comfortable rooms but not far from the main attractions, if you walk slowly you can be at the Charles Bridge within 10 minutes.
I wouldn't use their taxi pick-up service. My plane was delayed and it didn't turn up but turned out for the best as it was cheaper to pick up a taxi at the airport for 650 Czech crowns.
That said, the staff before I went and after a little confusion when i arrived were generally helpful.
The building has character, as do the rooms, which are well equipped for hotel of this standard. A good breakfast buffet - there is a lounge area with one computer for free internet access but its not a place to spend your time hanging out but why would you?
