Great Location

Don't book this accomodation is you are looking for luxury. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment with Charles Bridge B&B which was just 2 minutes from the main B&B premises. The apartment was up 3 flights of stairs and then down one more!!. Not too good if any of the party is not up to scaling stairs. It technicaly is a 2 bedroom apartment, although there are 7 beds. On one floor is a toilet, bathroom, kitchen and loungue/bedroom. One the second floor are a further 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. Having one of the bedrooms as the loungue did not prove to be a problem as the kitchen area is large with a table & chairs and a sofa in it, so a lot of our socialising was done in here. The bedroom/lounge is very spacious with 2 sofas, 2 single beds and a wardrobe. The two bedrooms on the upper floor and again very spacious but they do not have any wardrobes, drawers or mirrors. This is probably due to the fact that they are in the roof and the stairs up to them are winding and you would not be able to transport a wardrobe up to the rooms. Even so some type of built in shelving would have helped. There is a chest of drawers on the landing which houses the extra linen so we used a couple of these. The shower room on the upper level is small but adequate. The bathroom on the lower floor has a bath with shower over it. I wouldn't like to actually try and cook in the apartment as the crockery, utensils etc provided are not enough for the amount of people the apartment can accomodate but as we only made tea & coffee it was fine. There is a washing machine should you feel the need. No cleaner attended during our 4 night stay and the bathrooms were beginning to cry out for a once over and the linen & towels were not changed. We had to ask at reception for further toilet rolls which wasn't a problem. Breakfast was taken at the main reception area. Plenty of fresh bread/rolls, cereal, meat & cheese, yoghurts, pastries etc.

Unique Quality: If you're looking for location rather than luxury than for the price (we paid £464 for the apartment for 4 nights - which worked out really cheap for 4 of us) then this is ideal. We were not expecting the Ritz so it was fine. Step out of the door and you are literally a few steps to Charles Bridge. Compared with the price of some of the hotels etc we looked at this was good value for money.

Q: Prague public transportation "Hello VT; I'm so confused how the 1 day or 3 days pass works. It says that you have to validate the pass/ticket before..."

A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
