Great indie hotel
Loved the location for the hote, it is literally minutes away from the Charles Bridge / Old Town sq / Wenceslas Sq. The room we had (109) was a triple and very large in comparison to most hotel rooms, the shower was absolutely huge (could have got three or four people in it). The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would heartly recommend this hotel to anyone. The restaurant next door (U Ampezonu) was fantastic and worthy of a visit .. as well as the restaurant Stoleti at the end of the street.
Unique Quality: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff
Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

Convenient located Hotel
Cloister Inn is located in the center of Prague. It's only 3 mins to Charles Bridge and 4 mins to the Old Town. The staff and friendly, and they have free internet access at the lobby. They renovated in January 2006. The place looks new and clean.
Unique Quality: The rooms are roomy for European standard. The bathroom is medium size and they have a rack warmer to warm your clothes. Booking this hotel, it comes with a breakfast. It's a good breakfast. They also have shuttle service to the airport. But you have to pay for it.

Great location
Rooms are large, clean and slightly spartan but a welcome relief to some of the other cramped rooms in Europe and britain (I think it used to be a nunnery). Breakfast was excellent and you can walk to everywhere - 2 minutes to old town if that. Staff were very freindly and helpful as I had a small child and got sick. We got cheap rooms on wotif.com for about 80 euro. Cheap eating around the corner at small authentic czech resteraunts/bars.
Unique Quality: Location is excellent and it has spacious air conditioned rooms. Liftsas well which is great for lugging bags. They also have family rooms which we stayed the 3rd night and these wold be great for large families.
Unique Quality: Near Charles Bridge and Old Town Square etc. Free internet connection, tea & coffee. No bar or restaurant but there are so many nearby

Central Location
The hotel is formed of two parts, a modern builing and an older traditional building. It is well sited for The National Theatre and the Bethlehem Church areas.
It is in a quiet back street. nevertheless there is a good selection of restraunts and pubs nearby.
I was in the older building. the room was great with penty of space.
After reading the many positive reviews for the Cloister Inn on tripadvisor, I couldn't help but book it for a week for my Prague vacations. And I'm glad to report everthing is true... In a city where the locals seem more than a bit humourless, the Cloister Inn staff go out of their way to make guests feel at home. From the comfortable rooms and lobby, to the complimentary tea and coffee, the hotel truly added to my Christmas experience. Small concerns are small indeed...but no clock radio in the rooms, the non existence of face cloths and glum cleaning staff are quickly overlooked. Location is premium. Highly recommended.
Great location

Cloister Inn is the perfect base for a short break to Prague. The central location means all the sites are within walking distance, even Tesco. The staff are very friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. The most important aspect is the security - you cannot get past reception without a sensor key which is allocated on arrival. There is also a security person in the foyer for added peace of mind in the evening. Free internet access means you can send e-mails home etc...although we found there was always someone on it! Rooms are spacious, comfortable, well maintained each day and spotlessly clean. The food is delicious and breakfast consisted of everything from cereals to cold meats and cheeses, boiled eggs and frankfurters, fruit, yoghurts, breads. Definitely would recommend it to anyone and we hope to go back soon! Look out for a restaurant called Klub Architektu which is beside Bethlehem Chapel (go out Cloister Inn door and turn right, then follow road round to left). The food is delicious with huge portions and a super vegetarian menu.
Great Hotel

We read many reviews in this site and decided to stay in Cloister Inn for our Christmas (24-26.12.2004). We traveled there by car. So we needed a secured place for our car. The Hotel parking was well secured from outside and the hotel itself was also. We stayed there with 2 small children. The hotel offered us a large room separate from other guestrooms so we didn’t need to worry about the other guest. The restaurant that hotel has reserved for our Christmas Eve dinner was splendid. The hotel staffs were very kind and the location was also good. It would be more good when the hotel would give us more varieties with the Breakfast. But we found the hotel overall “Excellent”.
Top Location and Brekky
by TripAdvisor Member scarlett67
The Cloister Inn is an ex nunnery that has large renovated rooms with a great brekky and a lift!! I have been to Prague several times and this is one of the better moderate hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The location is fantastic (old town) and you can walk everywhere. We paid about 90 euro on wotif but sometimes you can get it cheaper. They also have family suites wich we stayed in on the last night. Around the corner is the Art Prison hotel and pensione which used to be a prison and communist interogation rooms. We inspected the rooms here before opting for a liitle more luxury, and from an old backpacker it looked very clean and orgaised compared to some I have stayed in before. I will stay here again unless I can get a deal at the 4 seasons!

Hi Sally,
Try the cloister inn, there you can find an hotel, a pension, and a hostell.
Look for it in google as Unitas Pension (I forgot the www... adress).
Q:Prague public transportation "Hello VT;
I'm so confused how the 1 day or 3 days pass works. It says that you have to validate the pass/ticket before..."
A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
