Chagrin

by lhebble

What is the best cell to get? For calls between US and Prague.

Re: Chagrin

by nicolaitan

we bought a phone card ( look for stores with an orange sign ) that allowed us to use pay phones for pennies a minute. somewhat inconvenient in that one has to punch in about twentyfive numbers, but other than that very economic. your hotel will hopefully tell you the nearest place, but we saw stores selling them at multiple sites near the old town square and bought ours on Rybna Street about a ten minute walk away and near several hotels.

cell phone options were all considerably more money.

Travel Tips for Prague

Visit Karol's Bridge .(...

by Ania1

Visit Karol's Bridge .( magnificent medieval architecture) this is the place of all artists. Painters (also portrait-painters), musicians, poets and dancers can cause us to spend there much more time than we planned.

Prague Tip

by ADV27

Sitting at the Restaurant U Kristiana, eating the best meal of our lives and thinking back on our entire trip. We had just come from a trip through hell (Romania Page) and were blown away to be alive and in such a beautiful city eating and drinking. We sat there for about 2 hours, and only said a few words as we played our trip over and over again in our heads and wondered how we had made it to Prague.

Theatre Shows

by sandysmith

The czech people really enjoy their opera and theatre shows - there are many across Prague. Especially popular for people of all ages are the marionette operatic puppet shows and the Black Lantern visual display shows.

In-Line Skating in Letna Park

by mi5chelle

If you want to get some exercise why not go in-line skating in a beautiful park that overlooks the city?

You must give a deposit of $100 or 2 I.D. cards to secure the rental. Cost is about $10 a hour. I cannot remember the exact cost.

Go to Miami Sport
(Nad Stolou)
(Narodni zemedelske museum)

Anensky Convent

by german_eagle

For medieval architecture fans I recommend to visit the Anezsky klaster (convent) with a very nice collection of medieval and religious pictures and carved altars/figures where pure gothic architecture is to see in the convent churches. Really pure architecture, thus I don't put it as a *must* see.

The convent is located in the North of Josefov.
Opening hours: Tue - Sun 10 am - 6 pm
Admission was 120 CZK or so.
