The hotel stands out as brand new (2003) and has 17 charming rooms on 5 floors. The rooms are very spacios with a large bathroom as well. We got a lovely room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the red city roofs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, in fact so helpful that my boyfriends t-shirts and shorts were nicely folded on the nightstand one evening when we got home (well, we found it charming).
The breakfast is served in the Arcadia bar/café and the selection was good and changed somewhat from day to day. You may also order breakfast to your room.
If you don't make it to breakfast it's a popular place for lunch, too - exellent sandwiches!
I read a review of this hotel somewhere and the person talked about small pillows and a hard mattress. I only agree with the pillow - ask for another one at the front desk - they'll fix it! And for facilities/amenities in the rooms: they've got it all. There were even bathrobes!
The hotel is situated in pittoresque Nerudova street, on the way up to the Castle, so the area is touristy, but bars/restaurants close here at about 11 pm. Head for Old Town if you want to stay out late.
I simply loved this hotel and it's situation is perfect if you're in Prague for the first time - and don't mind the walk up the hill from Charles Bridge.
Panorama balcony on the 4th floor - a great view to the Castle and the small roof top garden for a romantic moment.
Free internet access from the computer on the 1st floor.
Air-condition in some rooms.
