See Prague Municipality....
by denise_BG
See Prague Municipality. Beautiful architecture and a constant restauration of monuments and buildings with a generous funding by the US. There are more than 10000 Americans living and working in Prague, they just adore this city. So don't be surprised to hear more English speaking in the streets than local people... Prague by night with good friends. The friendship you create in this place remains a long-life one.
Christmas in Prague
by Cristian_Uluru
To spend Christmas in Prague is very nice. During the Christmas time in whole the town you can see the Christmas market where you can find many interesting objects. In the Old Town Square there is a big Christmas tree full of light and a stage where local groups sings and dances.
it might be very cold

Bring something really warm unless you go in summer as, I found snow in April, but, just a few days ago the weather was lovely, in Italy we say march is a crazy month, they have probably the same problem with April

Vysehrad - Gateway
by sandysmith
Vysehrad is a pleasant few hours diversion away from the centre of Prague - its just a few metro stops away or you could even walk there - just keep walking on past the Fred and Ginger building. Its the site of an 11th century clifftop fortress and has tourist information for the route of the sights there as you enter and exit the area by each of the two main gates. We decided to go by metro, follow the sites and return by the tram as we ended up down by the embankment where the trams run.
On entering Vysehrad you first pass the 17th century Tabor Gate and a bit further on the Leopold Gate with its sculptures atop. These gates are the most impressive of the fortress fortifications.
