This hostel has some good and some bad points.
The pros of this hostel are:
1. It's cheap.
2. It's close to the centre and all the places you'll want to go.
3. It' reasonably comfortable.
The cons are:
1. Full of cigarette smoke.
2. No real comunal areas except kitchen.
3. No lockers.
4. No noise policy, so you might not get much sleep.
5. Not 24 reception.
Unique Quality: Althought on a main road this accomodation is very quiet (except if you have noisy people staying with you!).
Directions: From the north end of Wenceslas Square (Mustek metro station) go west into the road 28. rijna and take the second left. Follow it to the end. The hostel is on the right almost at the end of the road.
Check out the pcture for a map (coming soon).
Stayed for one night only as I missed my train to Ceske Budekovice. If I had booked in advance for more than one , I would have left. Extremely cramped, scruffy, and not cheap by Praha standards. Small hostel, reception not staffed after 1730 or so. Ok for entrance security, but in the dorm I was in nowhere at all to stow things.
Unique Quality: Central, near tram route, interesting local pub with about 8 areas including cellars across road (where I drank dirt cheap burcak) but these things can't outweigh the place itself.
Directions: About 7-8 minutes walk from Wenceslas Sq, about 4 minutes from Tesco.
me & my boyfriend slept in a double with vaguely pornographic flower posters and fake wood panelling and pressboard furniture. try not to get the room right next to the kitchen because the wall is incredibly paper thin and the people that work there have the television blaring from morning to night.
Unique Quality: i was accused of stealing yogurt by chinese tourists visiting the same night. keep your yogurt locked and safe!
