Centrally located!

Staff is nice, rooms are good and breakfast is fine for a small hotel.
They arrange pick-up from the airport.
The rooms are large enough for an extra bed (at an extra cost).

Unique Quality: The location is just perfect, a few meters from Charles Bridge, on the Castle side. Just fine for daily hikes to either side of the city.
Kafka Museum also close by.

Prague's best stay

Highly recommended! Perfect location in a quiet corner right next to Charles Bridge. We had a lovely clean, comfortable spacious room with en-suite. Breakfast was good and staff were efficient. Rather along the lines of a small boutique hotel, but not the price.

Unique Quality: A beautiful, old, well maintained building in a very good location.

Nice Hotel in Nice location

The Biskupsky dum or Bishops House Hotel is situated in a small square just off the western side of the Charles Bridge, on the castle side.
It takes only 30 seconds to walk from its front door to the bridge and another five minutes or so to cross the river and enter Prague's centre.
The hotel is a five minute walk from Malostranska metro station.
The Hotel was welcoming, warm and friendly.
We stayed In February and our double room cost approx £120 for two nights, this included breakfast and en-suite facilities.
The breakfast consisted of the normal continental type affair, but everything was clean and well run.

Unique Quality: great location, both for Charles Bridge and for walks to the Castle or the city centre

Great Location

We were originally booked a room at the Waldstein a short ways down the road, but their water was not working so they moved us to Biskupsky Dum. You really could not get better in terms of location, it is basically at the foot of the Charles Bridge. Even so it was very quiet and the staff was friendly . A nice big room with high ceiling and large windows looking out into the street. The staff was attentive in getting us a cab at 5am. Only bad thing was that we stayed during a heat wave and there was no fan or AC or breeze.

Best Hotel In Prague

You asked for comments on our satisfaction with both the hotel we stayed at, Biskupsky Dum. All the arrangements were excellent. We found the Bishop's House very comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the staff courteous and helpful. I would definitely plan to stay there again. Likewise the transport from Ruzyn and then back again worked very well. We were met when we arrived and taken back on time. Thank you for helping to make these good arrangments.

Unique Quality: The Bishop?s House is situated in the centre of the Prague Municipal Historical Conservation area - under the Prague Castle in the Lesser Town, about 60m from the Charles bridge. Complete reconstruction of the building was finished in 1999. Guests have the possibility to book guided tours of Prague historical monuments and the Jewish Town, a boat cruise on the river, or a trip to one of many Czech castles or famous spa resorts. The hotel provides transport to and from the airport or the train station, or anywhere in Prague at very favorable rates. It can also provide a car from major Rent a Car companies. Reception Desk Services 24hours ope offers services as Fax, Xerox, Scanner, Internet access, ironing and launery service.

Nice hotel in centre of Prague

We have now returned from Prague and would like to complement you on the standard of service (airport service) and the quality of the Bishops House Hotel. We had a wonderful few days - everthing was excellent - even the weather. It is a beautiful city and should we ever get the chance to return we will certainly be in contact with you again. Many thanks for a wonderful stay. Thank you

Best hotel in Prague

We had perfect holiday in Prague. The Hotel was warm and inviting with a superb location so close to the Charles Bridge. The room was big , hot water in the bathroom. In the morning the breakfast was huge ! eggs , fruits , vegetables , potatoes , water , soda water , cakes , juices.

Unique Quality: The Bishop´s House is situated in the centre of the Prague Municipal Historical Conservation area - under the Prague Castle in the Lesser Town, about 60m from the Charles bridge. Complete reconstruction of the building was finished in 1999.
During the Romanesque period, at the end of the 12th century, the powerful bishop Prince Jindøich Bøetislav had a vast court built as a bishop´s seat on the left bank of the Vltava river. His successors, bishops and archbishops, e.g. Jan of Dražice (from which the name of the Dražické Square is derived) had the court extended and rebuilt.

Very nice and comfortable hotel

As you will recall my husband and I stayed in the Bishop's House Hotel in July - it was a wonderful hotel and in a fantastic location. My friend and her husband are thinking of going to Prague and I've recommended that they stay in the same hotel.

Very good location

We stayed here for 2 night and we had booked two double rooms.

We were little bit disappointed with the rooms - F3 and V1, because next morning we were woken up at 7AM by some guys working behind our window. When I spoke to the people in the room V1, they were up at 5.30 because of the noise coming from the kitchen.

In the morning I went to speak to the receptionins and I explained what was wrong. I asked her if she wants to see the guys working behing the window in room F3. When we walked into the room and she opened the curtains there was a guy looking at her. She was very apologetic and said that they did not know that the building next door is having some work done. And when we come back from day out, our bags will be moved to another room.

After a day out we came back and the person in reception gave us the keys to the new rooms. We got rooms 401 and 402. And we could not be happier. It is just under the roof, there is only small window but the room is not dark. The bathroom is nice and spacious and most important thing was that we could not hear any noises!! What a difference.

All in all, if you can, avoid rooms V1 and F3. If you have a child, room F3 would be good because it is spacious and you don’t have to go through the hotel if you want to go out.

401 or 402 were very nice, small rooms.

Breakfast is in a small dining room, you can have what you want, especially baked rolls with cheese on top were super!

I would stay at this hotel again if I could have one of the rooms 401 or 402 (or maybe in the lower floors but looking onto the small square). The staff were friendly and they tried to help when we had a problem. This hotel is in very good location – nice small and quiet square and just a few steps from the Charles Bridge.

Unique Quality: Location!!!

Nice hotel in the city center

We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful city. This was made even better by our time at the Hotel Biskupsky Dum. The staff were exceptional and very helpful indeed. The hotel was very clean, ideally situated and very comfortable. I would reccomend it to my friends - which I have already done!

Unique Quality: The hotel offers double rooms, twin rooms and suites. Subtle and interesting colour combinations, quality fabrics and fine furniture enhance the character of the rooms.
