Do NOT stay at this hotel
Do not stay at this hotel. My gaughter was robbed at this hotel by the staff. They knew that she was leaving early, and was not able to do anything about it.

Hi,
I'm visiting Prague in Jan and am thinking of staying at Pension Beta (Jaromirova 174/46Praha 2). I haven't been able to find any reviews so wondered if anyone had stayed there. If so, what is it like?
Thanks

Hi from Prague,
It is good choice, only few min by tram to centre, clean and spacious rooms, shared bathrooms and toilets.
Its very cheap during January.
You will stay less than 10 min from Vysehrad Castle - oldest part of Prague - dont miss.

Czechs are extremely proud of their car company, Skoda, which is now owned by VW. It produced very desirable vehicles worldwide, and was one of the few Eastern companies that managed to produce indepentely developed cars.
You can see plenty of older skodas driving around, which attests to both the love Czechs have for these cars, as well as for their durability.
My first trip in August 1998 was a little bit spoilt by bad weather at the beginning. The weather forecast for upcoming week was fine and I did not bother to take too much warm clothes with me – honestly I did not even take a pullover or something similar. My luggage consisted of t-shirts and a pair of jeans and sandals. The first evening was quite warm but the rain started and in the morning next day it was bloody cold outside. I really wonder how I survived that day, I put on everything I only had, unfortunately I had no time for shopping that day cause we had an excursion and I thought it would have been a pity to miss that one. Finally I had to buy a jacket and new shoes. During the rest of the weak the weather changed million times - rain, sun, clouds took turns over and over even within a day. So I assume that Czech has sort of distinctly continental climate and weather can change quite often. So you’d better be ready for that.
This is the part of apartment block built in early 70's, far from the centre of Prague, close to the Metro stop 'Ladvi'. Here I stayed in my last visit with my brother. The nationwide Czech tradition of using many colores has not been ignored here either.
It might be a classical tip for the stay with children in Prague, but I am sure that even the adults will not be bored!
They organise also special events such as: night walks, regular feeding animals with assistance of visitors, activities for children, theme programmes...
How to go there:
By metro to station nadrazi Holesovice + bus n. 112 to Zoologicka zahrada stop.
By car: U Trojskeho zamku 3, Prague 8
Open daily from 9 AM to 18 PM (16 PM in winter)

Q: Prague public transportation "Hello VT; I'm so confused how the 1 day or 3 days pass works. It says that you have to validate the pass/ticket before..."
A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
