Considering the Hotel Esprit in Prague?

Language Confusion by RACCOON1
Too many things have changed in Prague to make and meaningful comment. However . This was the first slavic language country that I went too , and the first country where the language caused confusion. Had no problems with other countries where it was possible to grasp a few words quickly and then try to expand your vocabulary . Maybe the problem was that the stay was only four days . It was still an enjoyable stay . We used to eat at a fast food restaurant . There was a menu posted in Czech only. So what we did was watch what the fellow in front of us pointed to , and then pointed to the same thing ( no talking ) .Sometimes the fellow in front of us delayed his decision , and the attendant would then ask us what we wanted ( in Czech ) . This is when our plan went off the rails . So always learn a few basic words of the native language to get a foothold in a country .
