Walk everywhere! I got the taxi from the airport to drop me at Prague Castle - which is not really a castle but more of a small settlement of buildings with a Church surrounding by a high wall. From here you havean amazing view out over the river and the city. I wandered down to the city and walked overe the lovely bridge and stood awhile watching the sun get higher (it was only about 7am!)and the locals walking by. Once you are over the river it is about a 15min walk to the main square. Sitting in the main square at lunch time by the monument eating a sandwich and drinking a coke just people watching. Certainly when the sun is shining in the summer the main square is full of backpackers and tour groups and young people hanging out and eating lunch.

I know, more buildings! This is really what I get passionate about when I travel. I love looking at old buildings oozing with character and history. These were just before reaching Charles Bridge. I was reminded of a part in one of Milan Kundera's books, but I won't bore you with details. A great author to read though, before heading to Prague, just to get yourself in the groove - that's what I did anyway!
John Lennon and the Communists
by globetrott
Close to the Charlesbridge on the Kampa peninsula there is a wall of the Maltese embassy that shows plenty of graffities, including the most famous one :
John Lennon
It had to be repainted quite often in Communiste times, ( and therefore it looks a bit different on many pics ) as it was regularily removed by the police, as there was a " bad capitalist message" as well :
...You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...
Today it is really hard to be found between so many other graffities with less peaceful messages...
The chapel of skulls @kutna Hora
by Meg_nanako
Chapel of Skulls or Bones located at Kutna Hora is quite fascinating to visit. Supposedly to build up of 40,000 bones. My favourite is the chandelier. It's rather spooky...and we are not allowed to take pictures, unless you pay some money.

These beautiful Gardens are realy worth a visit. It is devided in various sections such as: Japanese Garden, Mediterranean Garden, Alpine House, Exhibition of Irises ...
St. Claire’s vineyard and Fata Morgana, the tropical greenhouse can also be visited. I have not been in all of these parts as it was getting dark.
Japanese Garden section was the nicest part I saw there.
