    This garni hotel is situated in Ziskov. It is 3* hotel, but i belive there are a lots of better hotels of that category. To be fair, I have to say that it was clean, the room had cable TV and fridge but all in all impression was bad. The furniture was old, and on some places torn down so I had a feeling that it was even dirty wich, in fact, it wasn't. Breakfast was very good served in a nice bright breakfast room that was probbably renovated as it stands in the contrast with rest of the hotel.
    The reception stuff could've been more kind.
    If you ever decide to stay in this hotel ask for the room that overlooks the yard, since it is very hard to have any sleep with trams going in front of your window every few minutes.
    The tram stop is in front of the hotel and it takes about 10 min. to get to the center.

    The nicest thing about this hotel are the original paintings of Alfred Mucha on its outside walls.

    • I have stayed in better than Golden City. The staff at the desk while reasonable helpful and friendly but quite slow. The rooms work on a microchip system instead of keys and are very awkward to use, especially if you have had a few too many to drink. The rooms are of a modest size and the view is bad. All in all I would only stay here again if there were no vacancies elsewhere.

    I have stayed at this hotel several times and would recommend it to anyone who likes to stay away from the central tourist area of Prague!
    there is a tram directly outside hotel with trams running to wenceslas square every 15/20 minutes.
    This hotel is very good value.
    Decent size rooms, loads of very hot water, A very good continental breakfast,(freshly baked bread and croissants with a wide selection of cokked meats and cheeses)
    Very helpful and friendly staff.

    I like this hotel because it is situated about 20 minutes walk from centre1 All down hill or uphill coming home but it is so easy to use the tram system in prague and instructions are clearly given by hotel staff on how to reach places of interest!
    There is a 24 hour bar across the street from hotel, this is a herna bar, which is like a small casino full of slot machines!!! this can get a little rough and i have seen a few fights in here however the barstaff seem to treat visitors friendlier than the locals!
    the hotel also has an annex which is even cheaper than the main hotel.
    there is supposed to be some famous paintings on the wall but I have never recognised which one this is suposed to be! (art is not my strongest subject)
