It's hard to say what the weather will be like anywhere these days. Everything is changing so much. I was in Prague in May 2007 and it was hot and dry. Be sure to book a hotel with Air Con or at least a fan.

Impossible to say what the weather will be like...always has been in much/most of Europe.

Pack clothes you can layer, waterproof outerwear, sunhat and sunglasses.

Prague climate averages here:

Check the weather forecast a week or so before you start your travels.

I was there the second week of May in 2009 and wore cargo shorts with a t-shirt and maybe a sweat shirt in the morning. It was low twenties celsius when I was there. Love Prague - go back in a second.

Hi I thing that T-shirt and short trousers should be sufficient. However the Czech Republic is known that you can never say whether the weather will be sunny or not. So you should check the weather conditions before your trip.

Travel Tips for Prague

When to visit Prague

by grkboiler

I visited Prague at the beginning of May, around the 10th. The weather was somewhat cool but comfortable and the crowds were small (even with holdovers from the World Championships of Hockey the week before). I returned to Prague at the end of May and noticed a huge difference in the number of people. It was like night and day. Many store and restaurant workers I talked to said that from June through August the crowds are massive.

My advice - If you can plan your vacation to Prague in the spring, visit early to middle of May. After that, the crowds grow exponentially.

Old Town Hall, Old Town Square

by extrajoce

Located on the all famous Staromìstské námestí, the Old Town Hall is equally famous for its Old Astronomical Clock. This building is the center of the Old Town, and the starting point of the Royal Way to Prague Castle through Charles Bridge.

Mozart Everywhere

by mrclay2000

Tickets hawkers for classical and religious performances at various venues throughout Prague will generally congregate in the Old Town Square or along its emanating lanes (near the Powder Gate for example). Most are dressed in period costume as if Mozart is the only composer whose music gets any airtime in this City of the Hundred Towers. As you can see, not everyone is enthusiastic about this less-than-exciting line of work.

The Troja Palace

by RusskiPower

Resplendent Italianesque Baroque villa with formal French-style gardens and a wine cellar.

Buy yourself a combo ticket (120 Crowns) that will buy an entrance to the zoo and botanicla gardens across the road from the palace.

Bus 185 from Nadrazi Holesovice metro station will get you there. Get off at the last stop (you sure won't miss it).

Unfortunately, I didn't have...

by europebn

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to go up there and check it out, but I hear that it's really cool up there at the Petrin tower, also known as 'The Small Eiffel Tower'. There is also a labyrinth that is a mirror maze that is supposedly really interesting.
