Nice hotel in a nice area
Stayed in the hotel from 15 to 19th August,2006. It was a nice hotel to stay in, the room was clean, the staff at the front desk were nice and always willing to help. The breakfast had a decent variety of food to eat. The cons are its location, it's quite far away from the city centre, but you have the metro station of Kobilisy quite close. Another con is the lack of restaurants around this area. Anyway, it's a nice play to stay if you're looking for a quite location to stay in Prague.

Airport to Hotel, duration of the trip
I'll be in Prague from May 18th to May 21st. My flight arrives at
16.30 hs. (from Paris). How much time you think would take me from airport to my
Hotel if I use public transport ?

I'd like to attend the Opera at 19.00 hs., will it be possible or should I consider other options ? Like getting a taxi ?

I have just stayed at this hotel over the Easter weekend. You will need to take the 119 bus from outside arrivals (every 10 mins) to its terminus at Dejvicka metro station (GREEN LINE).From there take the metro for 5 stops to Muzeum and change there to the RED LINE and go 5 stops once again to Kobylisy. The hotel is a 5 minute walk or 2 tram stops from there.It will take about an hour from the airport. You an buy a 24 hour ticket at the airport for 100 Korunas that is valid for all public transport from when you first validate it on the bus. This is much cheaper than a taxi plus you have use for 24 hours.Do you have to go to the opera on the day you arrive? It might be a bit of a rush if you have to be there for 19.00 checking in etc so if you decide to take a taxi there will be plenty outside arrivals. Check the price with the driver before he sets off.

You will be arriving at the busiest time of day, so the 119 from the airport may be delayed by traffic (although it will, at least, be going the 'right' way!).
It took me around an hour to do the 119 + Metro to IP Pavlova journey......so, even assuming you are out of the airport by 17.15, I think you will be pushed to get to your hotel, check-in, drop your bags and get yourself to the opera for 1900.
So in this case I might be tempted to ask the hotel to organise a taxi (rather than just take one from outside the airport). Fare should be around 600CZK.
