My favourite hotel in Prague

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in june 2004.
The hotel suprised me positively in many ways. The superb location, friendly service, value for money and peacefull atmosphere are not the only things that makes me want to go back to this place.

good location, good value, good quality

We loved this hotel. We usually stay in an apartment around the corner, but as we were taking my parents we needed more room so booked the hotel. the rooms were great - we paid a little extra and had superior rooms at the front of the hotel. the view was of the wooded hill that leads up to petrin park. On a subsequent visit I have stayed in a room for three which are reached by entering the hotel, and then via a courtyard on the first floor. these rooms are on two floors and feature a spiral staircase.
the breakfast is a buffet of cold meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, Toast, cereals - tea - coffe etc (as expected) and the staff are freindly and polite.
the hotel is on the side of the river of the lesser town, which we much prefer. It is the side that the castle is on and we have always found fantastic bars and restaurants on this side of the river. If you know prague though you will know that no where is too far to walk as the city is very compact. From the front door of this hotel you could be on the other side of the river in less that 10 minutes and on the Old town square in about 20 minutes.

Hi,

Try the U Krize. Its about a 10 minute walk to charles bridge. It has pubs and bars within spitting distance, and if you are too hung over to get up for breakfast there is a great cafe nextdoor. depending how many of you are travelling they also do triple rooms which helps keep the cost down.

If there are just two of you check out Praguer.com it has 4 privatley owned apartments. I am friends with the owner Peiter. He charges around £50 per night but will include airport transfers in the cost. Mention you're a friend of mine and he'll probably throw breakfast in as well at the bohemian bagel around the corner.

I would reccomend the aprtment of Vitezna!

A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
