Comfortable, friendly, chaotic!

Really nice rooms but checking in with a crowd was a bit of a nightmare! Found out they'd reserved 20 rooms when we booked 22, once that was sorted out one of the guys one the trip went up to his room, only to find a man getting out of the shower! Slightly chaotic, but once the rooms were sorted the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We didn't stay for dinner but the breakfast was good.

Unique Quality: One evening after a few drinks around the City we returned for a nightcap to find a local opera singer having a quiet (not very) drink in the hotel bar!

They also had a little gingerbread cottage set up in the foyer to sell local handmade sweets and cakes for Christmas.

Best hotel close to everything!

Pretty nice hotel and, maybe, the best location/place in Prague (Parizska st.). It is aboyt close to everything.

Unique Quality: THE best pillows ever and an outstanding place to drink your beer (square just in front of hotel) even when the temp was -12 celsius!

A nice, conveniently located hotel

This is the hotel where we stayed while in Prague. It is very conveniently located aloong the Vltava River, about three blocks from Old Town Square and one block from the Old New Synagogue. We were able to easily walk from it to all of the major sights in the city within twenty minutes. There are also a number of good restaurants within a ten minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is expensive, but the convenience was worth it. The rooms were nice and it had a business center with a broadband connection. Its indoor swimming pool and health club were also a major plus. The restaurant on the top floor was very overpriced; however, the food in the lobby bar/restaurant is perfectly fine as an alternative if you don't want to venture outside on a rainy evening.

The concierge service was OK, but could have been more user friendly. We tended to use our guide books instead. One thing that was convenient was that the hotel had a car rental office in the lobby, which we used to get a car for a day trip into the countryside.

Unique Quality: This hotel is the only one in Prague with an indoor swimming pool, which our daughter loved.

Great Hotel

My stay was exceptional but price was very expensive for not being in there very long. I would recommend this hotel if you plan to spend alot of time in your room. Cost was about 220 Euros/Night

Unique Quality: Everything was superb and what you would expect. Especially the breakfast that came with your stay. The facilities were close to everything and if not the hotel would call you a taxi that won't rip you off. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Wonderful Hotel

I stayed at this hotel in the early 90's and it was more inexpensive back then. The service was wonderful and it was really fancy inside. I remember eating a wonderful breakfast buffet loaded with European meats, cheeses, breads, and fruit juices. It was terrific there. I believe a number of Hollywood movie productions have stayed there since I was there.

Unique Quality: The bountiful and delicious cold breakfast buffet of meats, cheeses, and breads with juices was outstanding. The interior of the hotel was fancy and had alot of marble in it.

A little pricey, but worth it

The lobby is done in black, gold and mirrors. Our room was gorgeous. The staff was very attentive. We rented a care in Prague and drove to Munich and the staff provided invaluable information.

Unique Quality: Located right on the banks of the Vlatava River. Beautiful views of the bridges, especially in the evening when everything is lit up.

Great Location!

My husband and I only spent 4 days in Prague so we splurged on this hotel. Im glad we did! It was so close to Winceslas Square and walking distance everywhere. The rooms were smaller than I thought they should be but there was good service, and we also enjoyed the band in the lobby wee hours into the night

Too far out

popped in to have a look

Unique Quality: The reviews state this hotel is close to the city centre - all I would say is that there are closer hotels and glad we did not stay that far out of the centre, as you end up walking a lot in Prague and ideally you want one within 300 meteres of Charles Bridge. I would check the distances quoted in the above review before booking

Comfort and luxury

We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental over New Year 2003. We booked via the website and got a really good 21 advance day deal with the price for delux room of 189Euros per night .

The hotel is beautiful inside and lies directly on the river with only a 5 minute walk to the old town square.

Our room looked out onto the river and on 1 Jan there was a huge fireworks diplay from the opposite bank of the river which we could watch from the comfort of our room.

The food was good but pricy for Prague and although the hotel has a pool and fitness facilities I think there was a small sharge for their use (I'm not 100% certain about this point).

The hotel staff were helpful and were able to make bookings for trips/concerts and gave good advice about the city.

Luxury and comfort sum up this hotel

Unique Quality: pool
fitness facilities
massage
gift shop
roof restaurant with a view over Prague
Nice view of the river.
