of desk staff varies from passable to quite good. All are friendly and eager to please. Breakfast was a buffet of good quality--boiled eggs, sausage, lunch meat, cheeses, dry cereal, rolls, various spreads, etc. There is still some construction going on at the Estonian Embassy next door that begins about 8:30 in the morning on weekdays. It can't be heard in the rooms at the back of the hotel, which are also the most desirable because of their views. It was not a problem. We spent 7 nights here. After November 1st ,the rates changed from 2557 crowns per night to 1557. A bargain.
Two things abouty this hotel are unique and exceptional. The first is that the hotel is entirely non smoking. A real plus for me. The second is that room 110 and its bathroom fully meet US (ADA) acessibility standards for persons with disabilities including wheelchair. There is a wheelchair lift from the hotel front door to the room door. However there remains a 3" curb at the hotel sidewalk and another 3" step to the fron door. No ramp.
Rooms at the rear of the hotel have very nice views. The top floor (4th) has views over the rooftops to the castle and one of the Charles Bridge towers. The lower rooms overlook the canal and park.
