A great hotel

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel in September 2006. It is the best hotel I have stayed into to date. The room was very nice and clean, so was the bath room. The room had TV and DVD player, mini bar, AC and safe. The hotel has library, honesty bar and massage room. The breakfasts are nice with many fruit juices and teas.

Unique Quality: The hotel staff are wonderful, when I had my bag with passport stolen in KFC they made me a free meal and drink. The manager told me how he had his wallet stolen in the very same KFC (down the street from the Astronomical clock)

Luxury but not expensive

We booked this through an internet company we have used in the past and we were really pleased with the quality of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy. There is a lovely library and a lunge where you can relax with complimentary tea, coffe and pastries. There is also an honesty bar where you can help yourself to alcohol and just put your name and room number on the list and they will bill you at the end.
The rooms had everything you could wish for. Haridryer DVD player TV etc etc. They were comfortable and of a good size. The bathrooms were lovely and spacious and with good quality bath products.

Unique Quality: One of the features about the hotel is the fact that it has a Thai massage parlour underneath. A fantastic experience at the end of a busy day sight seeing. It is atruly worth it. clea friendly and amazingly relaxing. Go on spoil yourself.

Incredibly nice for the price

Great staff, rooms and breakfast. Very modern hotel just a few blocks from Old Town Square on Hastalska (next door to Chez Marcel).

As we purchased a one-week fly/stay package w/half day city tour for $800 (including a hotel upgrade), it would be hard to break it down. I think the rack price was under $100, but I can't find a list of their tariffs.

Unique Quality: A very comfortable, attractive small hotel within easy walking distance of everything, close to Old Town Square. The room came with breakfast, which was outstanding - rolls, jams, eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, fresh fruit bowl, hot cereal, granola, sweet rolls, juices, coffee, tea, etc.

More about Maximilian Hotel Prague

Excellent Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Sandgrounder99

We recently stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was very clean, spacious and very modern. We believe the rooms are sound-proofed and we didn't hear a noise at all even though our room was adjacent to the lift.

The breakfast was very good and there was a varied range.

Excellent location - 5 minutes walk to Old Town Square.

Would stay there again.

Super hotel

We had read the previous reviews and almost expected to be disappointed in this hotel. We were not!

Excellent location. We didn't use public transport at all. We used the hotel taxi to be met at the airport and to take us back at the end of our 5 day stay. V efficient service and friendly staff. We got the hotel to book us tickets for the opera and again used the taxi , though we walked back from the opera house(we booked cheap seats and had a super view).

There is an honesty bar where you serve yourself to tea, coffee or cold drinks. There is a charge for these drinks which you pay with your final bill.

The hotel only re-opened in March following a major refit and we were most impressed. V modern and extremely quiet and comfortable.

Excellent breakfast. We loved Le Patio 2 doors up for delicious, reasonably priced food in the evening and then to Chez Marcel next door in the other direction for a night cap!We also ate in an excellent thai restaurant Arzenal which is located in the Staremesto district near the river.

We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and hope to stay there again soon.

Fantastic location, great hotel

This hotel is in a fantastic location just a very short walk from the Old Town Square. The staff was helpful and the room was very clean and well equipped. The breakfast buffet was the best I've ever had in Europe. I would highly recommend the Maximilian and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

My husband and i have just returned from Prague. We would like to recommend to others the Maximilian hotel a short walk to the old town. The hotel was spotless ,the staff very friendly and extremely helpful. The cooked breakfast and all the other trimmings were excellent and set you up for the day.The complimentary tea/coffee and pastry was a lovely touch when you wanted to relax for a moment from all the sightseeing of this beautiful city. The free internet service also deserves a mention. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel to even the most discerning traveller. It had ever comfort from mini bar to safe in the air conditioned and spacious rooms.Go try it, you wont be disappointed.
