Walk, walk, walk! Beautiful city with beautiful buildings from many different periods, situated on the Moldau (Vltava). Walk from Castle Hill and St. Vitus Cathedral down and across the Charles (Karlov) Bridge into Old Town. Music everywhere. Jazz band in Old Town Square -- violinist on the street corner -- guitarist/singer also playing on the street -- people on every corner and more inbetween, hawking tickets to performances at the State Opera, Rudolfinum, Estates Theatre plus small free concerts given in many churches.

There are many concerts in Prague. Prices are about 300-400 kc. Informations are available on streets, hotels, information centers. You must visit at least one. Concert at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. is good for resting your feet and filling your soul. If you like Mozart, there is concert in the castle every day at 1 p.m.

Ssshhhhttt, just take your book and a drink. Pass the walls through the entrance and find yourself a spot in the sun on the grass. Don't go near the fruit trees, cause that's the territory of the wasps. Just relax, let the tranquility sink in. Enjoy the silence (amazing silence in the heart of the city!).
Or wander around a bit, look at the flowers, the bees in their hive (a very creative one, see the picture) and try to memorize all that Prague has shown you.

Josef Capek and Karel Capek Monument (I&V)
by Zvrlj
Karel Capek was the most famous Czech writer of the first half of the 20th century. His brother Josef Capek was very important painter, writer and poet.
There is modest but beautiful Josef Capek and Karel Capek monument on the square Namesti Miru. On each of two wider sides of roughly carved monument there is one name made of holes.
Namesti Miru can be reached by Metro – there is station Namesti Miru. Another Metro station – I.P.Pavlova is just nearby.
