Cool Place, Great Area
We stayed over New Years. It was great!
The location was perfect for us, it took us 15mins to get to Wencelav square. Rooms and shower were clean, all simple but comfi. The stuff was friendly and helpful altrough they were really busy. There is no common room but- bars of all kinds around , we have met many cool ppl form all over the world. Restaurants with great beer and food, place to dance.. we really liked that area! There is parking in the backyard which is nice, coz its impossible to stay on the street. Prices are very low and so we liked it! ..and the amazing Zizkov Tower is really close by... you have to see it!

Best CHEAP Sleep
This place is GREAT if you get a QUIET room. I had a 5th Floor walk up with a skylight and vaulted ceilings. It was located across from the bathroom that is communal. However, what's great about the communal bathroom is that there are separte shower rooms (with piping hot water) and separate toilet rooms. The sinks are in a wide area.
I LIKED the guys at the front desk ... However, this place is booked EVERY weekend, so I had to move OUT and back which was a nightmare. BOOK in advance!
Unique Quality: The location is easily accessible to the trolly and in a decent area with convenience stores, bars and internet.
The rooms are VERY simple but clean and sufficient for someone who doesn't need to WORK, watch TV or spend time in the room.
I liked it here A LOT.

Worst place in Prague to stay if you like to sleep
Does the thought of sleeping after a long day of site-seeing appeal to you? Well then don't even consider staying here.
Pension 15 is located in the "Zizkov" area in Prague (section 3) and was not too far out of the centre of town to take a quick tram ride or even walk if you really wanted to.
I found this place online, and the pictures looked decent. We were on the 4th floor (Which is really the 5th floor by North American standards), so you'd better not forget anything back in the room unless you really need a good workout. The room was clean, with 2 twin beds and a skylight for ventilation. The shared bathroom (for both genders) was definitely gross. Two out of three shower drains were clogged every time I took a shower and the toilettes left much to be desired as well. We pre-paid for 5 nights (BIG MISTAKE). The first three nights were fine, other than being unbearably hot with little ventilation. On the fourth night, we awoke at 4 AM to a large group of geman speaking, twenty-something guys slamming doors every 30 seconds, playing music, screaming and even having sex. This went on until 6-7AM. Upon coming back to the pension the following day, we saw that these guys were staying another night. There were 5 beds jammed into one of the rooms, and these guys occupied all but 2 of the rooms on the floor. Knowing that the same thing was going to happen all over again that night, we went down to talk to they guy behind the desk. We explained the situation to him to which he replied: "This is our business. We can have who we want stay here." I then asked if he cared at all about our situation, to which he replied:"No. I don't care." This guys was a total jerk.
In Summary: No noise limits, gross facilities and RUDE employees.
Update: I wanted to include that I recently received an email of apology from the supposed owners of pension 15. In it they mentioned that they had an individual working for them with some issues and said that they would accomodate us better if we were ever to return.
Unique Quality: none

Pension 15
i stayed at the pension 15 twice so far. It is cheap and only one tramp stop from the trainstation. there are many bars and clubs around, you can just start walking and end up a great place. Not much tourist around this part of town which makes it a unique experience.
The rooms are alright, they might be tiny so sometimes there is only room for two beds, but it is only about $ 15 a night. most of the rooms have running water. the rooms dont have own bathroom or showers. check out their webside for more information and pictures. they also have apartments for rent in the backyard but they are more expensive and almost always booked up...
Important thing: they offer cheap parking spots in their backyard for cars.
