Does anyone have a handle on which discount European airlines fly (one-way) from Prague to Venice?
A few budget airlines operate out of Prague (Smart Wings, Sky Europe) but these don't connect to Vienna. The only one which I believe does is Tirolean Airlines (http://www.tyrolean.at/) which bizzarly appears to be connected to Austrian airlines (and is even part of Star Alliance).
Nevertheless, I found a flight there at random for €49, which was much cheaper than any offered by Austrian airlines or others.
Hope this helps.

www.whichbudget.com and www.harefares.com list all European budget carriers and their routes.
From their listings it seems you could try www.click4sky.com and www.skyeurope.com
The airlines I listed offer Prague>Venice, by the way.
Click4sky fly to Venice-Marco Polo, Skyeurope to Venice-Treviso
Transport from either airport is easy by bus, but Treviso is considerbly further away than Marco Polo.
The train takes 4.5 hours and is a nice journey, most likely about the same time as flying when you consider check in etc etc. Fare Very cheap
Correction, I incorrectly read as Vienna
Click4sky does not allow one-way flights!
Depending on the dates you need you either take SkyEurope, or it might be cheaper to buy return Click4sky and just use one direction.
Be aware, that Click4sky has very limited number of seats in regular CSA flights.
SkyEurope has special offers very often, it is good idea follow their site for good offers.
The suggestion that harefares might have something to offer on this question (cf. previous comments by 'leics') is preposterous. Harefares is a very amateurish website run by a couple of Americans who seemingly have little experience of Europe travel. I tried them for various routes from Prague (eg. Prague to Minsk) and they pointed me to airlines that have never flown any such routes. Well intentioned, I've no doubt, but quite a disaster when it comes to decent info.
Welcome to VT.
Some people have found harefares useful on occasion (including me) so it is worth mentioning the site's existence.
On occasion whichbudget also lists routes which no longer exist, as do other search engines; it is not something unique to harefares.

Prague is beset by a number of Baroque gems. Although there are probably no gilt capitals anywhere in the entire city, Baroque elements throughout town still appear frequently on the surface. Though I'm hardly an expert, when certain buildings resemble large door knockers with large brass rings (something we all associate with Dickens), that to me is Baroque!
A language tape would be the best to help with pronouncing the slavic languages. :: Written language guides don't help with the pronunciation. And then there's the fact that "ano" means yes... :: See also - http://www.locallingo.com/countries/czech_republic/language/ and also - eurotravels' site on VT for more info.
Many travelers don't know that there is a wall which is like a monument for John Lennon. It is not far away from Charles bridge, people usually write lyrics of his songs or make graffities. Imagine...
Works of Chech artist David Cerny, who received his education in Czech Republic and in USA, could be seen all over Prague. Among the most interesting are "Babies" on TV tower Zizkov, "Horse" in passage way of the Lucerna Palace, "Pi*s" at Kampa island, "Hanging Out"…
Made in 1996, "Hanging Out" is now located on the building in Husova Street.

Q: Prague public transportation "Hello VT; I'm so confused how the 1 day or 3 days pass works. It says that you have to validate the pass/ticket before..."
A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
