We are a couple traveling around East Europe from 29 December.
Please advise us the best places to be in new year's eve in Prague or around it.
We are specifically looking for cheap (less than 20€ per night) places to sleep and also fun things to see or to be in that night.

Can't help with specific NYE spots, but you will find that hostels are by far the cheapest type of accommodation.
www.hostelworld.com lists the vast majority of European hostels.
www.hostelbookers.com is also worth checking.
Prague hostels start at around 10 euro per person per night for your dates, although most are in or around 20 euro. Remember that you do get what you pay for.
It would be sensible to book in advance at this popular time of year.
We found that there are abundance of peaches, apricot, berries and cherries on our way to the Old Town Square. These fruits are slightly more expensive in our country so we indulged ourselves with loads of it! Good source for vitamin C…don't you think so? Cheap Cigarettes, Coffee, Souvenirs & Friendly People.
Within walking distance from our apartment, as we were in Praha 2, is the amazing area known as VYSEHRAD. Making up Vysehrad is the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, Slavin Cemetery, and beautiful grounds surrounding the Church.
Founded in 1869 "Vysehrad" is the final resting place to some of the Czech Republic's most famous figures.
Believe it or not, I have Canadian friends who still say 'Czechoslovakia' and truly believe that it is still one country. The Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic separated several years ago, and the differences between the two States are large, not only in the economic realm, but also culturally and linguistically. Remember that Czech people are not Slovak people, just like Canadian people are NOT American people. Dekuju.
I strongly suspect that when we were in Prague we seldom strayed anywhere near the beaten path. There are so many dark, dirty and dingy bar in prague in which you feel just about anything goes. The best thing is that they are friendly social places full of young people living hard!
This church is just one of hundreds in Prague. There are always details to notice in each one, making it original and unique. This one had a very rough outside brick wall which drew it to my attention.

A: "You validate it once and then it is good for the 24/72 hours on all public transport whether metro, bus or tram."
