Luggage Save

by adamparhi

Hi,

I'm planning to get Prague in the next month in the morning, and take a bus in the evening to Berlin.
Do you know if there is a safe place where I'll be able to put my luggage for one day without any worries?

Thanks,
Adam

This site suggest there are left luggage lockers/facilities at the train stations:

Hlavní nádraží station has 24-hour facilities:

You can also leave your luggage at the bus station (Florenc); it will get tagged and is being watched by someone. The bus station isn't very big so it should be easy to find =).

Travel Tips for Prague

See the Karlov Bridge. It was...

by Insider

See the Karlov Bridge. It was the most beautiful site for me, cause you can look at all the statues on the bridge for an hour and you can also observe the ships below. I have to say my fondest memory of Prague is definitely CHEEP BEAR!! Just kidding, but they are really almost giving it away!! Like I said I thought Karlov Bridge was the most interesting and one of the most beautiful sites in Prague.

Estates Theatre

by yooperprof

Mozart loved Prague - much more than Vienna, incidentally - and it was largely because of this theatre, which is where "Don Giovanni" received its premier in 1787. "The Marriage of Figaro" had been played here the previous year, to enormous acclaim - after having failed to impress the "difficile" Viennese. Still a functioning theatre - and a beautiful one at that! "To the Homeland and the Muses" - Patriae et Musis - reads the inscription across the entablature. Ovocny Trh - near the Carolinum;

Language can be a problem...

by Maccie

Language can be a problem sometimes, especially with older people. Most Czechs older than 20 has some knowledge of Russian (since they learned it in school), but be aware that it is culturally sensitive due to the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia, and some people might be offended if you try it. Still, as a last resort and with some polite excuses, it could work.

A day trip to Karlovy Vary (Karsbad)

by pili

If you have enough time, you should go to Karlovy Vary (Karsbad). It is located less than 100 kilometers away from Prague.-
This city is one of the best-known spas of Europe. Apart of that, is one of the most charming place I?ve ever visited (my Karlovy Vary page is coming..)

by Maralaat

There is some kind of park in north of the city (aprx. 5 kilometers) where is some kind of fair centre at the edge of this park. There is some tram going to just front of the fair centre. At the gates of the square of this 'fair centre' there is one outdoor restaurant and internetcafe where beer is priced 8 Crowns! I think this the cheapest place of whole Prague.
Picture is from the park itself.
