    A Comfortable Room

This is a very comfortable, clean and well maintained hotel, The rooms are quite large and security is good with key cards needed to access the hallways as well as the rooms. Although overlooking a very busy main road our room was well protected from the traffic noise by the double glazing. The location is O.K, a short walk to Wenceslas Square and a tram stop just down the road. The breakfast was nothing special, cereal, cold processed meat, a bread roll and if there were any left, Frankfurters.
They claim to have a bar but in truth they just sell drinks in a room that is also used as a restaurant. There is a very good bar/restaurant called "Legenda" just 1 minute down the road which does excellent food.

Summery - I quite liked this hotel, it is definitely good value for money but personally I would prefer to stay closer to Charles Bridge or the Old Town Square.

Lovely B&B close to prague centre

by Jennyg_010 about Carpe Diem B&B

If you're looking for affordable and comfortable lodgings close to the Old Town in Prague check out Carpe Diem. Marcela Kušková, the owner, and her mom (who we never actually saw, but really enjoyed her cooking!) run a small but comfy B&B a few floors up in an old building on a nice side street. It's maybe a 10 minute walk to the Old Town and quite close to the New Town as well. We shared a bathroom with another gentleman but never saw him so we felt we had the run of the place. Her mother's marmalade is to DIE FOR, and I don't even like marmalade. One downside (actually we had this "downside" in almost all places in Prague) was getting in and out of the place. I found the keys and the locking mechanisms confusing, especially after a few pints. Makes for a good laugh though. Marcela's email is: The breakfasts are homemade and macrobiotic. tasty!

Don't Miss Prague Center's Street Vendors

by karensuzjo about I forgot...

There is a chain of kiosks that sell freshly grilled sausages on the street in Prague Center. They are soooooo good. You must eat at least one. They are filling and fairly inexpensive.

Prague Info Offices

by Lejla06

In Prague center are a lot of Information centers/offices to get useful info, flyers, tickets...

Praha 1, Betlémské nám.
Praha 1, Mostecká
Praha 1, Na pøíkopì
Praha 1, Staromìstské nám.

At the castle is one aswell.

Great for vegetarians and weekend brunches

by Travelchili about Radost

Really cool and funky restaurant and bar very close to the Prague's center. It is especially popular among the foreign population who are either living in Prague or are just visiting.
During the weekends it can get crowded and you might need some time and patience to get a table!!! Very good omlets and begals!!

Has anyone got any views or stayed at Hotel Prague centre, LEGEROVA 32, PRAGUE, PRAHA 2?
I am thinking of booking this hotel as it is quite cheap but can't find any reviews anywhere.
Also how close to the centre is it?
Does any public transport run from the centre to the hotel during the night?

The hotel is on a busy street and is three short blocks to IP Pavlova metro, 5 to Museum(it's a main road heading North). There is a night tram that runs along Belehradska(a block from hotel) it is number 56 and runs through Wencesles Square(Vaclav namesti).
Tram 6 and 11 run to Museum during the day - the 6 goes to Slavia(Ice Hockey/Rugby)in one direction and in the other Narodni divaldo(national theatre), Petrin Hill(can change here to tram 22 or 23 which will take you to the Prague palace).
