Hi, has anyone stayed in the Prague Centre Plaza Hotel. Is it centrally located and comfortable? Thanks

by yma123

hi there...

not sure where this hotel is.. we stayed on the outscirts of old town which is 10 mins walking distance from shopping and 10-15mins walking distance from charles bridge...

we stayed at the Hotel & Residence Praga... - rooms were quite nice... you could look where this hotel is and then choose something near by as the location was quite nice (VT ranks it 98 out of 500 hotels in prague)

check out the link... it had breakfast included which was really nice & 24hr front desk to arrange tours & shuttle buses to the airport... Id recommend this hotel...;label=hotel-77157-cz-q2B6NwLBxpe7hyzVmSH0jAS830941143;ws=&gclid=CN7PuZWEi5ICFQNZiAodgh5hbQ

I have not stayed in this hotel, but looked at the location.

It is centrally located, but not in historical part. Metro and tram stop with many lines is around 400 meters away.

The problem is that Fugnerovo sqare (the location of the hotel) is between two 4-lanes north-south highway circuit streets. Noise and pollution level on some days can be very high there. Even that hotel might have good windows, walking in that area is really unpleasant.

You can look at the one of these streets on web-camera:

It is in Prague city, but it is not real close to the tourist sights. And it does have a reputation for noise.

Travel Tips for Prague

The Staromeske nam

by Cool-123

In this square, there are many buildings, cafe and shops. Most people will visit here to take some photos and do a big shopping. This is a good idea to have tea in the afternoon and have a beer at night.

Doggy Bags- A Whole new Meaning

by Ekaterinburg

This was one local custom I was very glad to observe because frankly, dog-poop on the street is something we can all do without. I think there are lots of other cities who could do well by copying Prague in this respect. This is not a guarantee that you won't end up with something smelly on your shoe but it's good to see someone making an effort.

A Good Friend

by Imbi

Usually I don’t do packing list but when I was doing my Prague page, I had to do that tip. If you are lucky enough to have a friend than certainly it is must packing list for your trip to Prague. It is very incredible to have a friend over Prague trip. It is not just the good company but also it is always good to have some one next to you to motivate you.

The Jewish Cemetery

by ophiro

Although it is a MUST SEE when you enter the small cemetery it is like something is stopped in Prague - very quiet , atmoshperic and for me as a jew it was something powerful.

This is less crowded place than the center although it is a very touristic place.

great architecture in Parizska

by globetrott

In " Parizska " you may see plenty of great buildings, mostly hidden
behind the high allee-trees.
Parizska is the large street leaving at the old town square, leading towards Cechuv Most and Letna Park.

Look for the great mosaiques on top of the building !
