Hotel Pyramida is a very large hotel. It is part of the hotel chain Orea. It should have more than 300 rooms.
This hotel has various amenities; including a swimming pool, a gym and a hairdresser saloon.
I had a nice twin bed room. It was large enough for two persons.
Breakfast was buffet style. There was plenty of food to choose from. Hot beverages from a machine. Bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, eggs et al.
I also had dinner at the hotel. Since I booked half board there I was offered a menu of five or six dishes. One per night. This was a weekly menu. I wasn't allowed to choose what I liked "a la carte".
I booked my room at Pyramida because I found a good half board package deal.
Unique Quality: You can easily reach this hotel from the city center and from the airport. There is a bus and a tram (tram n. 22) stop nearby. The journey to the city center from the hotel should lasts around ten minutes.
The hotel was part of a 4 days in Prague package, so I don't know the price per room. It looks like a dinausaur from communist times or at least is is planned that way. Room was ok , relatively clean, even tho beds were made but sheets have not been changed in 3 nights. Hallways are pretty boring and the elevator is almost always crowded , which is annoying when u have a child buggy. A bonus is the view from the roof, especially at night. Breakfast is in self-service room - typical cantine like atmosphere , well known from our gone communist times. Staff in restaurant is friendly even if most of them too young to be professional.
If you leave the windows open at night , there is a lot of noise from the boulevards outside , as the hotel is situated on the crossing of 2 main streets .
Unique Quality: The bonus of the hotel is that it is located at walking distance from Prague's castle and from there over Charles bridge into the old town. It also overlooks the town center which is a bonus concerning the view and quite annoying if you are going back on foot .
The hotel Pyramida is a comfortable hotel near to the Strahov Monastery in Prague. The view from our room looked out over the Prague skyline.
Unique Quality: A short walk to the Strahov Monastery.
A reasonable hotel, a little bit far from the historic center, but with good transport.
Modern construction and look, with a service bouncing between the three and four stars, and prices according to the service.
We stayed at this hotel for four days.It was not in the heart of Prague but we didn't have any difficulties to go the centre. You can get on the trams right in front of the hotel ,number 22 or 23.They take you to the centre in about 10 or 15 mins.
The hotel is a little bit expensive if you decide to travel alone. We chose to go there with a tour so we paid less.
We stayed in Pyramida for a week in summer 2003 - good modern hotel for those who don;t only waht to live in th emedeval building in the center. We were also lucky as got a big discount. Good locations- several tram stops from the center, walk to the Prague castle and other attaractions in Mala Strana. Servive was good except breakfast - we had to wak eup earlier in order to hav ebreakfast room not too crowded.
Unique Quality: They have good sport facilities and swimming pool as well as location close to Prague Castle is wonderful. We used to walk in the evenings hawing wonderful view.
We stayed in Hotel Pyramida only for 2 nights. it was comfortable, but surprising when we found most of guests are senior old people! so not so exciting for youths. but the hotel is really close to Vltava river and near to many attractive places. Anyhow I liked it at all.
Unique Quality: In the last night of our stay (a saturday night), we found that there is a special program in the main hotel hall: a traditional and family greek ceremony, with singers and nice traditional group dancing. it was really fun specially for kids. We enjoyed our time there. but I don't know if it's a regular program or no!
Unique Quality: Conveniently located close to the castle & on the tramline. This is a relatively modern hotel & also has a small gym & swimming pool if you're feeling energetic.
The breakfast buffet is huge & unless you have a monstrous appetite should keep you going till evening.

If you want to stay in expensive hotel, you have a lot of choices between many luxury hotels - such as Hilton Hotel, Hotel Prague, Hotel Movenpick, Hotel Pyramida (on the picture). But if you're not intrested in that you can live in any of many middle-class hotels (3 stars and less) which are located everywhere in Prague, just go to some information store (Prague-Ruzyne International Airport, Holesovice railway station, Main railway station, Masarykova railway station, Florenc bus station or some of thousands of little kiosks in the downtown) and get the guide (free).
Only campground which I know is Dzban Camping - it lies near to the lake and forest. It has 3 star restaurant, big parking lot and you can bring there your mobile home or tent. Prices are very low and it is very close to tram station so it will take you 15 minutes to go to Prague castle. You can also take a train to Masarykova train station, which is right in the downtown.
Any body knows what is the headroom of the underground parking of Pyramida hotel ?
Not really. Thinking of going with a double deck bus :-))))
Or a Hummer???
This is a real test.
