Old Town and Mala Strana
by mbsimjam
Walking the streets of Old Town and Mala Strana, although crowded in the summer, is amazing as, in the case of Old Town, you could choose 5 different paths and an infinite number after that, but you will almost always get to the same place. In the case of Mala Strana, it is so easy and fun to get lost, you will stay lost all day if you want. Finding the Cerna Vola(I think that was what it was called) pub behind the castle, a pub that has not changed in years(i.e. before '89) and sitting down surrounded by the locals at the "regulars'" table for a pint of Kozel
Pedal boat 2.

To try this experience you need to be in two. Just go along the river and rent a boat for half an hour (more? very good condition, my compliments) and then enjoy the ride!!
But be carefull not to get too close to bridges, ok?
See the details

Do not miss the little details while you were walking. Can you see something extraordinary in this photograph? Some of the windows of this building are only painting. Our guide (a very intelligent lady from Prague) said that the reason is the taxes. This is an old building and people pay for their windows in this era. So, the owner of the building solved his financial problems by painting symmetric windows. Clever, isn't it?
There is a bar under this building today.
The James Bond connection?
by littlesam1
If you have followed my pages you will know that I am a big James Bond fan. I like to visit places where Bond movies have been set. But there has never been a Bond film set in Prague. So what is the Bond connection here? I found this store for eye glasses in Prague. It was called Goldeneye and had a picture of James Bond on its sign. It caught my attention. I also like to find South Park references when I travel. I found a sweatshirt in Prague that had the gang from South Park with the world Oh My God You Killed Kenny You Bastards all written in Czech.
