Booking self-catering apartments in Prague

by JessH

Hello VTers!

Hubby and I are travelling to Prague this coming November.
We prefer to stay in elf-catering accomodation when we travel, so after much internet searching I've found what appears to be the perfect little place for us in the centre of town.

These apartments are listed on various websites, but this one seems to have the most competitive prices and the most photos and information.

Does anyone have any experience with www.my-prague-apartments.com ?

Oops - Didn't read your Link fully!
Be great if the person who originally posted it comes along. Unfortunately I only Bookmarked the link and did not actually save the Tip.

No experience with them, but I've heard of these guys:

might be worth checking them out as well

Travel Tips for Prague

Looking for the perfect sunset photo

by ncfg

Thanks to my VT friend Eugene (eugene.uk), i didn't miss the incredible sunsets over the Charles Bridge, with the Prague Castle looking from the top of the hill.
Lots of tourists were waiting for the perfect shoot, and I was one of them. I wish to have a better camera on that moment…

Jewish cemitery

by xaver

The ancent Jewish cemitery in the Jewish old "ghetto" was in use since the first XV century untill 1787, about 1200 graves are there.Visiting this cimitery in a very cold and snowing day, was really impressive.

Tree tagging!

by scbelle

Walking along the river, I noticed these barcodes on the trees. Turns out the city monitors their health etc, and scans the barcodes when they check on the tree, so you can look up information on any tree's health/history. I thought this was pretty cool. But I like trees and "urban forests" aka civic beautification, so take that at what you will.

Football in Prague

by William1982

Sparta Prague are the best team in Prague and certainly the most successful in the Czech Republic. Ticket prices are fairly cheap and for those coming in Summer there's likely to be a few friendly fixtures and even Champions League/ UEFA qualifiers to attend. Other than that, you could also see rivals Slavia Prague in action, or even Viktoria Zizkov who were recently relegated from the top division.

Independent movie theater

by irisha

Got an afternoon or an evening to spare / no plans in sight? Make sure to stop by Svetozor, an independent movie theater right off Wenceslas Square (there's also Evald, a smaller theater nearby - part of Svetozor). Nice-looking inside and offering a good selection of films for any taste, starting from older docus to modern European independent movies. I had a chance to watch I Hired a Serial Killer which was a quite little comedy I'd never heard about - nice way to spend two hours in the evening.
