The Savoy

I wouldnt normally stay somewhere as upmarket as this, but i got a good deal on VT auction (700 dollars for 4 nights + breakfast + airport transfers + a 3 course meal in their restauraunt).

As expected, the hotel was excellant. Very clean, excellant service great facillities.

Its only draw backs are the location and price. There's not much goin on late at night in Hradcany.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed staying at the Savoy.

Excellent Service and Lovely Accomodations

We stayed at the Hotel Savoy for 6 night in July 2004. The room was lovely and large. The marble bathroom and separate toilet room was a nice bonus. The free well stocked mini bar was a wonderful plus - my daughter took advantage of all the drinks and snacks each day. The concierge was exceptional and arrange numerous tickets to opera, local events, private tours and cars. I had mentioned that other people I knew would be at the hotel during my stay and they arrange for us to be located on the same floor.
There was only one problem during our stay - my daughter's cell phone was stolen from the room the morning of our departure while we were at breakfast- Unfortunately for us - there had been 3 different people servicing the room so they could not pinpoint what might have happened to the phone. The front desk and managers were very sympathetic and arranged to get us another cell phone within an hour. This allowed me to check out and leave knowing that this was taken care of.
I will stay at the Hotel Savoy when I return to Prague

Unique Quality: The complimentary - fully stocked mini bar is a plus -

I appreciated that the hotel was not in the middle of the tourist attractions in the center of town. It is a tram ride away. It is however walking distance to the Loreto Church, the Palace and many shops on the walk down the hill.

Staying at the Savoy

Great rooms and breakfast buffet. Conceirge only interested in booking something involving hotel's limos. Don't get a room facing main road during summer months. Noise at night and early AM makes sleep impossible.
