Kim did not feel like a hostel this time so we went to the EuroAgentur desk at the arrivals level of the airport and found this place for $65 or so per night for the two of us. Not right in the center and the rooms while modern we a bit worn..few loose tiles in the bathroom and the towel rack was sagging on the wall. Would I stay here again? No unless ther places were full as it is about a 10-15 min walk to the main square.
Close to a metro stop
Somehow this beautiful Hotel survived WWII. It is a beauty, with nearby exchange places, a small grocery on the same block, trolley access on the block, close to Soviet "Style" Cultural Center, several good restaurants nearby. Casino too if you're interested, but I didn't go. The restaruant inside has EXCELLENT food, and you should try anything with chanterelle mushriooms they have, harvested from the woods, wild. We had soup, and yummy Peirogi recipes, a "must try" on your visit to Poland, real fare of the polish people. Breakfast spread was INCREDIBLE and delicious. Service was wonderful. Toast to your table with "Nostrovya!"
Great beds.
We made reservations for 2 and got a room for 4 plus kitchen, what was great because we had meals " at home" and save a lot.
Staff were very kind , imagine that we went to Pilsen and lost the 5 o'clock bus back to Prague and the man in the Hostel stayed until late waiting for us, so we would not have any trouble to get in. I was really surprised when I saw him sat in his chair, just waiting for us. It is good to know we still can find people who care about others .
This Hostel was easy to find and well located. Walking distance to metro and Main Square.
We keep the keys and could go in and out at any time we wanted.
One of the greatest things you can do in Czech is to get to the mountains and rent a cottage for a weekend or the whole week if you have the time. There are many options from right in the middle of the forests to ski resorts, all depends on what you would like to do.
In many of my stays in Ostrava I used this Hotel Brioni which is excellent from the location point of view in the middle of the nightlife street at Stodolni street. Free internet in the room and breakfast was nice as well.
In general the hotels in Czech are in good standard and you can have all kinds of accommodation in quality and prices.
In my visit to Prague I stayed in the Hilton Old Town which was excellent location near by just about everything.
Each room is unique. It is on a back street right around the corner of the main square. I loved it!
Wonderful service - staff were very attentive. The decor took a little bit to get used to, however, it was a great hotel. The metro station is just around the corner - Andel - and there is a great shopping centre a few minutes away. Tours could be organised at the main desk.
Renovated in 1989. Nice hostel with family rooms. We payed 140eur for 6 persons in 1 night back in 2002.
Good parking facillities in a big garage on the opposite of the hostel.
Breakfast was good.

First of all, I would like to thank all the friendly people of Susa-Due who helped me during my stay. It’s a great hotel, within walking distance to both old town and Florenz bus terminal. My room was very spacious, modern decorated and it has a small kitchen with sink, microwave, dishes, full mini-bar etc. It was like a studio apartment. I had a big bed with clean sheets. Bathroom was cleaned and towels were changed everyday although I didn’t want. Open-buffet breakfast was small but nice. If you are looking for a nice stay with great price, then Susa-Due is the place. I will certainly choose it if I go to Prague again or at least advice to my friends.

A: "agree with above, but if you insist then i'd say Olomouc. Even better if you can spend longer in the area as it has some nice hills not far from OC, they're great for..."
